Chapter 3 I Will Take Care Of You Armstrong

"If your highness really wants to do this, then I have to inform the king first." Lawson said

"No you can't tell the king because he will never agree to this." She retorted

"Then I'm sorry your highness because I can't do it without the king's permission." He refused

"It's my order that you use my soul to save my son in whatever way you can. And what did the law say it awaits those who define the queen's order?

It's death that awaits them." Rose threatened him.

Lawson was left in a complicated situation where he couldn't do anything.

He closed his eyes for awhile and when he heard the child crying in pain because of the rune that was draining and darkening his soul, he had no option but to listen to the queen.

He asked her to place Armstrong on the right side of the altar that was in his magical chamber whiles the queen sleeps on the left side.

He started to draw some magical runes with a glowing stone around the altar.

King Lucas released his divine sense which could every corner of the capital city to see if her could find his wife and son.

After not being able to sense their aura in the capital city, he went to the other cities to in his kingdom to search for them.

And when he was on his way to another city which was near the Night Havoc Forest, he sensed his wife and son's aura coming from the Night Havoc Forest.

He rushed as fast as he could to enter the forest with his flying mount.

Lawson started to do some chanting.

He called the goddess of light to help him clear the darkness in Armstrong's soul with the light in Rose's soul.

After the last ritual which was the transferring of Rose's soul into Armstrong's soul to replenish his consumed soul and clearing the darkness in his soul was done, Lawson heard a loud bang coming from his house's entrance.

He knew that something bad was gonna happen so he took Armstrong from the altar and looked at the lifeless body of Rose and cried in pain.

The moment he stepped out of his magical chamber, he saw a sword that was engulf with fire flying towards him.

"Watering Board Shield!!"

He blocked the attack with his elemental water technique.

When he looked at the palace where the sword came from, he was shocked to see King Lucas who's body was engulf with a blazing fire from his head to toe.

Lawson knew that there was no way he could go against a Peak of Meridian Forging Realm expert with his Mid Meridian Forging Realm.

He placed Armstrong in a safe place as he looked at the king.

"Your Highness, this is a misunderstanding." Lawson cried out in fear

Although he was the powerful magician on the land but when he was before Lucas, he couldn't even utilize his powers well.

"When I heard that my father was murdered by you, I didn't believe it and that was the reason why I send you here instead of killing you.

But today seeing you kill my wife and trying to take my son away too makes me believe what happened 15 years ago.

Even if the heavens descend to defend you, I will still kill you." Lucas said gritting his teeth in anger

When Lawson heard what the king said, he tried to explained but before he could open his mouth, he saw Lucas casting his strongest attack which was a high grade Magic Technique called that was called the Hell Consuming Attack which could burn anything within a kilometer if it is fully unleashed.

And before Lucas used the technique, he used his Qi to cover Armstrong and the dead body of Rose.

"Boom!!!"

When the effect of the attack disappeared, Lucas realized that he had burnt all the things within a kilometer. And what surprised him even more was that Lawson was still alive but was injured severely by the fire.

"Your highness, I have something that can prove my innocence and if the king wants to kill me after seeing it, then I will willingly accept my death."

Lucas looked at him his red eyes without saying anything.

Lawson hurriedly took to a recording talisman which recorded all the conversations he had with the queen in an audiovisual form.

After Lucas saw what happened, he fell down on his knee as he cried in agony

"Ahhh!!!"

"Why did I get a cursed son?

Why did Rose use her soul to save Armstrong?

What did I do wrong to deserve this?"

Lucas cried for a long time until tears could no more flow from his eyes.

He stood up and looked at Lawson with an emotionless face.

"First of all, you will be punished for letting my wife used her soul to save Armstrong without alerting me.

Also I'm sorry trying to kill you without giving you a chance to defend your."

After Lucas said that, he went to where Rose was laying and carried her to where his flying mount was and placed her on the mount. He later went to where Armstrong was and carried him in his arms to where the mount was and when he reached where Lawson was kneeling, he said unto him "stand up Lawson for you are going to the palace with me".

When Lawson heard what the said, he bowed three times to show his respect for the king.

Lucas climbed the mount with Lawson as they flew to the palace.

When they reached palace, Lucas told them to prepare a funeral for the queen and also a room for Lawson to stay in.

After the funeral ended with the queen's burial,

Lucas went into seclusion with Armstrong.

Before he left, he told Scott, Philip, Martin, the prime minister and all the officials in the kingdom not look for him unless it's an emergency and even if he is to stay in seclusion for years, they should not disturb him.

And he also warned them not to loose their title as the strongest kingdom on the land to any other kingdom. After saying that, he went to his cultivation chamber which was located in the core part of the palace with Armstrong.

"I will take care of you Armstrong and I will make sure no harm will befall you son. I will try my best to do all the things a mother is supposed to do as your father and I promise to guide and protect you in whatever you would do in life as long as I'm alive." Lucas pledged to his son

He went into the cultivation chamber because he didn't want his son to experience any hardship in his childhood and also he wanted to spend time with his son in cultivation.

The moment he entered into the cultivation chamber, he placed a restriction formation around the chamber to prevent anyone to intrude or disturb him and his son.

King Lucas always feed Armstrong with precious spiritual fruits and grains or cereal. He did that to make his son strong and healthy and for him to have a powerfully built foundation for cultivation and martial art in the future.
