Dragon-like birthmark

Obsidian Manor, Dark Forest

Inside the hall, A gloomy and murderous aura enveloped the whole place.

"Didn't you still find them?" A golden beast eyes scowled towards every one of the kneeling Dark Guards inside the hall.

The Dark Guards' body quivered violently every time those eyes swept through their bodies.

Trying to lessened their presence as much as possible to avoid the Lord's wrath, else they won't be able to see the sunrise tomorrow.

Tapping the armrest with his index finger, Huang Ryu was raging with anger. It has been three days, and yet they couldn't find her, even that brat Shu Ren, can't be found anywhere.

"My Lord, Oriole found a girl who might seen Captain Shu Ren." a guard outside the hall reported.

"Let them in." Huang Ryu lazily leaned his head on the backrest of the chair, while he waited for the so called Oriole to come inside.

"My Lord,"a petite girl that looks around ten years old, and a dark guard with an oriole mask kneeled down together in front of him.

"Speak.." The Lord turned his gazed towards the petite girl.

"My Lord, when this servant went near the creek that dawn, I saw a red-haired man stopped by the creek side, and his washing off the dirt on his face, but this servant was not sure if he was the man you are looking for, since I couldn't feel any beast aura from him, thus that day I thought that they were a humans, so i got afraid and just hide behind the rock." The girl meekly stated what transpired that day.

Huang Ryu narrowed his eyes and glared at the Dark Guard who escorted the girl inside. "Are you here in front of me just to tell tale?"

The atmosphere inside the hall turned deadlier as each minute passed by.

After the girl had said that she couldn't feel any beast aura from that man's body, Huang Ryu dismissed it as a human hunter inside the Dark Forest, since it would be totally impossible for Shu Ren to suppressed his beastly aura entirely.

"My Lord, forgive this servant for being incompetent." The Dark Guard kneeled on the ground and slammed his head on the ground.

The girl also bowed down her head after seeing her escort banged his head down on the floor. Shivering on her knees, she continued justifying. "But my Lord, this servant really saw a red-haired man, and this servant guess that he might be going to the east, according to the direction he was taking and also he was carrying an unconscious woman."

"Just kneel down and shut up." The Dark Guard whispered to the girl. Knowing the Lord's temper, he was afraid to add more fuel on his anger.

Huang Ryu squinted his eyes after hearing the girl mentioned about that man carrying a woman and stared at her face,"Do you know how to draw? Draw me a portrait of that red-haired man."

"Yes my Lord." The girl nodded vehemently.

"Go get some brushed and paper." Huang Ryu ordered the dark guard who was kneeling beside the girl.

The dark guard bowed his head and stood up from the ground. In a flashed, the dark guard brought the paper, ink and brush in front of the girl.

The girl took the brush and dipped it on the ink and started to draw a portrait of Red-haired man detailedly.

Even though it was still dawn at that time, and the sky was still dark, being a beast surely has its perks, as she could see clearly even at night.

It took the girl half an hour to finished her drawing, she then handed it to the dark guard beside her.

The guard took it from the girl's hand and walked over to the Lord side and open the portrait for the Lord to see.

In the portrait was really Shu Ren, the Lord lifted his eyes and looked in the direction of the petite girl. "Can you draw the face of the woman?"

"Apologies my Lord, but this servant couldn't clearly see the woman's face, since it was covered with her hair. Even so, the woman was wearing a short white dress with her left arm exposed and this servant recalled that there is some kind of dragon like birthmark on her nape." The petite girl saw the birthmark when Shu Ren lifted Rae Gu up from the ground and her nape was accidentally exposed, while she was still hiding.

Not knowing that what she just said detonated a huge bomb in both Huang Ryu and Bai Rou's mind, the petite girl calmly sat on her toes.

At that time, Shu Ren felt her presence but just ignored it, thinking that she was just a harmless rabbit hiding behind the rock and did not expected that she will divulged everything she saw that dawn.

"You are all dismissed, you stay here." Huang Ryu sighed and pointed over the petite girl.

Seeing that everyone exited from the hall, he called over the petite girl. "Come here."

The petite girl stood up from the ground, with her body trembling, and slowly moved forward in front of the Lord. "My Lord."

"Bai Rou, you know what to do." The Lord ordered while he mulled over the information he had received, there is no doubt that the woman was Rae Gu, since he saw her birthmark on that memorable night, after they exchanged their jewel.

Also, Huang Ryu remembered that Rae Gu torn her sleeves to press on his when she came back to him that day.

"Yes, my Lord." Bai Rou hypnotized the petite girl, and let her forget everything what she saw that dawn and also what transpired today.

"Oriole, take her back." After erasing her memory, the petite girl fainted. Bai Rou then ordered his subordinate to take carry her out from the manor.

"My Lord, that birtmark, does she belong to that clan?" Bai Rou faced the Lord and asked him, but he was ignored by the Lord instead, Huang Ryu seems to be concerned with a different matter.

Sensing that the Lord was immersed in his own world, and didn't even bother to listened to him. He zipped his mouth and stand quitely beside the Lord.

Huang Ryu's been thinking over and over about them being together, [They are together? Why?] , his brows creased even more as he thought about, inasmuch as he deduced, they couldn't be or shouldn't be together.

There's no reason for Rae Gu to go with him, considering that she didn't even know that brat, and if she did, why did that brat never bothered to contact them?

[Wait? Did they perhaps...?] His face turned even more darker. Why did he even think about them eloping?

That brat Shu Ren would never dare, knowing very well that betraying the oath of the pearl, would surely cause her to die and the Lord surely knows that he had a thing with the leader of the Spectre Corps called Ling.

On the other hand, Huang Ryu brought to mind that Rae Gu has some kind of fixation towards handsome man.

[Did she go with him because of his appearance?] Huang Ryu's mind been swirling to a different direction.

"Bai Rou..." Huang Ryu took a deep breathed and tried erased the wild thoughts from his mind but he couldn't get over with it, so he asked for Bai Rou's opinion.

"Why do you think they are together? Did that brat has a change of taste? Do you think that woman would betray me for that brat Shu Ren?" The Lord asked question after question.

Bai Rou's mouth twitched after he listened to the stream of questions from Huang Ryu. He speechlessly looked up on ceiling and wanted to whine, but still showed a fake smile plastered on his face.

[This is actually the Lord's concern? Really, is this what they called about a man being in love that would surely cause their IQ to degenerate?] Bai Rou sighed inwardly and helplessly answered the Lord in a serious tone.

"Huang, whatever reason Shu Ren had, I'm sure it would be for good. Knowing his character, he will surely never betray you."

"I know, but there's something that keeps on bugging me." Huang Ryu massaged his temples. [What is going on with me? What am I even thinking?]

Haung Ryu sighed and recalled the bloody scene that day, and change their topic in swift manner to avoid his mind from wondering off further.

"What do you think about this situation? Why do you think Shu Ren took her towards the East?"

"I am not too sure either." Bai Rou crossed his arms and his deep eyes contemplated. "It seems that there are more things hidden than what our eyes could see."

Huang Ryu sighed and stood up from his seat. "Let's go to this Lord study first."
