Faye closed her eyes, the soft darkness enveloping her.

A gentle sigh escaped her lips, carrying with it a longing for Sterling's presence.

She could almost imagine the warmth of his breath on her skin, as the sound of his husky voice filled her ears, whispering her nickname.

Faye remembered the tenderness in his touch, his warm hands caressing her face, while the scent of his soap lingered in the air.

The affectionate sensation of his soft kisses as he peppered her cheeks, and in that moment, she thought she heard his voice say, "I love you, darling butterfly..."

Faye breathed, "I love you too and I'm lonely…please come home soon."

She opened her eyes with the curtains still clutched in her hands, and she slowly drew them closed as the storm outside had become so fierce one could not see their own hand in front of their face.
