Edna bit her inner lip nervously. Her hands shook with fear. She knew what her master would say. The man would say something that would clarify their relationship going forward. Edna tried to be tough. This was what she wants. A clarity.

"Edna. You're only human. So don't ever… ever think that you are better than any creature."

Edna was holding back her tears. She didn't understand why she felt this frustrated.

"I … will never accept you as my mate."
