123 The Separation

A large gust of wind swept over the dragons there making them move aside.

Maxieno came by throwing fireballs at all the dragons around him. His yellow irises glistened sharply hugging the unconscious Edna over Otis' now shining body. Edna's blood continued to flow, covering every part of Otis' wound where her blood had touched it.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY MATE!!!"

Blood spilled on the man's hand. The echo of his scream reached the far end of Birwick leaving all the dragons in the scene covering their ears.

Maxieno glared at the elders standing in front of him.

"Sir, Max! What did you say!? Humans have never been mate for a dragon! We will never accept her as your partner!"

"To hell with it all! You've injured two human under my care. Is this why you sent me to meet the dragon princess outside Birwick!? So that you can pollute the land I guard with my their human blood!"

"Sir, Max! You are not worthy to raise your voice at us!"
