The Intimate Dreams

"Maxieno, did you perhaps see it?"

Maxieno was relaxing on his couch. His eyelashes fluttered as his eyes opened slowly.

"What do I see?"

"Maxi, the Phoenix that is always with Suri."

Maxieno's eyebrows raised in genuine surprise. "Phoenix?"

"Yeah, did you spot it? Perhaps while you relax in the garden you see it fly somewhere?" Arielle inquired.

"That phoenix… has disappeared?" Maxieno asked once again, a fleeting expression of relief crossing his face.

Arielle took a deep breath.

"Yes, my daughter is quite distressed in searching for the Phoenix. If you see it, please tell us. My daughter really loves the bird."

Suppressing the urge to grin mischievously, Maxieno gave a simple response. "Hmm, sure, Arielle. If I see it, I'll tell you immediately."

Arielle thanked him. She then went back to help Suri find the missing Maxi.
