Chapter 3— Their End?

With their smoldered head—aching with multiple acute pain—Their eyes once again opened. Black. Green. Silver. purple. All are different in color but opened consecutively within one second.

"Ahhhh... Shit... Don't tell me I got a migraine... I slept early last night.... Wait... Wait a minute!" Valor woke up wondering how did he get a headache while he tried to remember what happened, he did sleep early but he slept again. "I woke up in the morning as usual, walked to the green-flat-terrain, met the gang below the cover of the silver tree, then..." He pronounced as he reconciled everything that had happened, "We were planning and I just fell asleep?... Wait, Ah!" He was about to move his muscles and look outside when he found himself unable to move.

His body weighed a hundred more than usual, causing him to be glued on the ground with his chest facing the floor. With this intense gravity, he forcefully lifted his head to look straight and looked at the scene outside the rectangular hole— this is the best he can do as the gravity that nails him down on the ground is very powerful, a great amount of energy is used even by just looking straight.

"Arrghhhh, what the hell happened to my usual weight?" Grunts of Marcus echoed in his ears while Valor tried to see what's beyond the rectangular hole, but what he can only see is whiteness. Nothing else. He doesn't know if it is caused by the acute pain that is making him dizzy or there's a light source outside that is so powerful it blinds him white.

Valor stopped resisting the gravity and lied his head on the floor, trying to process what is happening, "WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!?" But he cannot, he cannot remain calm and asked the others to gain information. Gaining a bit of knowledge on what is happening will calm him a little. Thinking without knowing anything will cause him to think about endless possibilities, But thinking with a bit of info will stabilize his brain to focus on expanding that info. But he doesn't have any mental stabilizer info right now, causing his thoughts to run rampant.

He can see Marcus beside him through his peripheral vision, while the two girls are at his back. Also trying to break free out of this gravity's clutches.

"Are we dying? Or are we just trapped by some freaking things we don't know? ... Or we're just dead and this is the phase all those that just died would have to experience first?" Sarah asked worried while her mouth kept on muttering words, "Do our memories flash and-" But she couldn't finish when Angela intervened, rejecting what's she's about to say, "No! ... we are not dying, well maybe yes, But No! No Angel will descend the heavens to escort you the fuck outta here! So we got to know our situation at least, maybe we can find a way out of here."

Marcus tried to look at Angela but he couldn't remain his posture and even smashed his head on the hard brown-wood when his neck grew wearied, "Hey, that's my girlfriend there." He said defeated on the ground.

"I know, and I don't care, especially in this situation." Angela said frustrated and tried to resist the gravity, but she also couldn't and made her head smash unto the wood by the force of this monstrous gravity. She couldn't help but exclaim in pain, "Ouch!" She has the most little prowess here, she cannot raise her head any longer than three seconds and is needed to rest for ten minutes.

Valor who heard her exclaiming in pain got an idea, he pondered it and believed it might just work, "Hey guys I have a plan..." He announced to them while facing the floor, a little bit different compared to their usual formation while forming a plan.

"Hmm?"

"Say it"

"As long as we can discover a lead."

They all agreed so he explained, "How about we bang our head to the floor and create a hole beneath our face, maybe we can find a clue outside." He said enthusiastically but they all disagreed and reasoned, "Tried it earlier, A little bit of pressure on my head and it would have been cracked." Angela said denying.

"You really are Valor Val, I had run some identification to the wood that made up this hut and I can say it's not ours. This is made of some materials much complex than what I can currently identify. This means it is a material stronger than steel, the highest material I can use to make weapons. You'll just break your head if you tried that plan of yours, well feel free to do so, It will help us if it worked." He explained and slipped a sarcasm at the end.

"Shit, then what the hell are we supposed to do here?" He said subconsciously while contemplating about some way to get out of here, but he cannot, rendering him unable to muster the courage to do something, but he still has hope inside him burning.

With them all lying on the ground, not knowing anything nor can they do something, ten minutes had passed and all just lied silently.

"We won't just die here won't we?" Sarah said worried, Marcus's voice then answered, "Not now Rah, Not now, not here." Silence again filled the group, as they don't know what will happen to them.

"Looks like we will be here for a while, How about we play a game to suffice our boredom and lighten the mood a little?" Sarah said and everyone agreed with silence.

"Alright! We'll describe something, as minute as we can... I'll go first. Something we use to kill or-" But she couldn't finish when Angela guessed it already.

"A gun."

"How did you know?" She asked her surprised and curious, Angela answered her with boredom and her voice in autoplay, "Pretty predictable, your boyfriend make guns and the question was made with you thinking about your boyfriend, The word kill alone said it all, of course, your intonation is also a part of it... worried, concerned and... Guilt? Why would you feel guilt." She gained interest in the latter part.

But silence answered her, none of the two want to persuade the matter and Valor know they need privacy, so she also sighed and remained quiet. It is something the two must talk about alone, a quarrel or misunderstanding, that's for them to talk about. Of course, Angela couldn't help but think about it, She's bored after all.

She pursued the topic because of her boredom and rapped analyzing, "So is it because Marcus is feeling guilty that he degraded your sainty status by dating you, and now your feeling guilty that Marcus is fee-" But she couldn't finish when Valor intervened with high volume, "Angela enough, That's for them to talk and think. Think about something else."

She grunted and answered Valor with boredom, "Them how do you think I can kill this boredom? It kills seeing this bland wood alone- holy fu-" No one could answer her as the gravity nailing them down became more severe, it pushed air out of their lungs and made their veins bulges in pressure.

'Shit!' This is all they can think of in this disastrous gravity, the feeling of uncertainty again bloomed inside them, it made them feel pressured and panicked. Stuck on the thoughts, 'Am I going to die or this is just a dream?' They cannot breathe nor their blood can flow freely, The same symptoms of dying, just in a different situation.

All are becoming blurry, their thoughts became messy. But with this chaos happening, their intuition kicked in. "Close your eyes!" They all shouted syncing, not knowing how they knew something is coming.

Innate in them, they felt something that doesn't belong to them: Courage, fighting spirit, strength, and slight fluctuation of memories. Not theirs, but felt like theirs. This is how they knew something is coming; A flash of light that can damage their eyes.

With them instantly closing their eyes, A buzzing sound filled their ears while whiteness filled their eye sockets; The once black sockets were filled with white light, even with their eyes closed.

Then like how the veterans felt in nuclear wars, in that flash of light, they saw everything: Bones, veins, and organs of people beside them. Then the whole scene outside the hut was finally seen in black and white.

Debris, lights, and bodies. Floating in nothingness, with life that abandoned them all. They cannot help but ask in their heaving mind because its oxygen was now depleted, 'What happened?

In that zone of millions of miles, nothing can be seen but dead bodies of different kinds. Beings they don't know existed. They were again baffled on how can they see that far, even the tiniest dust a million away is clear in their closed eyes. They are aware that with this extremely light, their eyes became like of that x-ray. But how can it let them see the whole coverage of a million diameter of kilometers?

They searched with their vision flying and noticed dots nearing that zone. they don't know what are they but they can say they are many, as each dot can be compared to water molecules in a tsunami.

Not long after and they saw the outline of the dots, they have mechanical bodies, futuristic and exquisite. All looked powerful, undefeatable, and omniscient. With those looks, they noticed that there are beings like them that are mixed in this pile of floating beings, all looked powerful in this pile of floating bodies so they didn't notice that they are different from the others. Monsters? No, Races. It is races mixed in this pile of floating bodies, A universal war sure had happened.

With them looking at the dots, the four found something that raised a hypothesis. Humans, there are humans floating in this pile of deads. Perhaps this is not the present, it is their future. A war will happen at the end of this chaos of calamities, caused by the system that shook it all. How can they guess like that? They can guess that hypothesis because they are humans themselves, when oppressed, they fight back.

With that info, they can theorize that the dots are the supremes. The being that brought this system to them. The humans and other races wage war to the supremes for freedom but were defeated in the end, and this is the end.

With that magnificent scene, perhaps apocalyptic scene. The lack of oxygen affected them, their consciousness started to fade, and everything was returning dark again. But within that millisecond of the last scene, They saw many silhouettes appearing in front of the tree, They are alive, but that's what the four saw last before they again lied unconscious—Not seeing the tiniest outline of these silhouettes. Their consciousness left them again.
