Meanwhile in a skyscraper building in the City two men in a large office sat on opposite black leather sofas drinking coffee and chatting. Both wore tailor-made suits. One in black the other in navy.

"Mum keeps phoning, she wants me to start going on blind dates as if it's that easy to find your mate". Jaxson sat with his legs crossed sitting on the large sofa opposite his brother.

"I know bro me too, second chance mates are even rarer and Charlie needs a mum. But I am not interested". Axel took a drink of coffee, he and his brother both shared a dislike for his mother's matchmaking skills.

"When I see my mate, I'll be like you, I'll just know and I'm not talking just anyone as a mate. What about your housekeeper, what's her name, Natalie? You could get her to pretend to be your mate. Get mum off your back". Jaxson sat forward and talked to his brother trying to come to a solution to their problem.

"No thanks, she is crazy delusional. If I did find my second chance mate I wouldn't want that drama she would still stick to me". Jaxson has to agree with his brother on that point. Natalie had tried to stick to him before and he hated it, she was insincere and greedy.

knock knock

"Sorry to disturb you Alpha Jaxson and beta Axel. Natalie is screaming about something and it's to do with Charlie but I can't make sense of her, she said she will only talk to you or Alpha Jaxson". Secretary Anne had knocked on the door and relayed her message.

Jaxson roll his eyes and stared at his brother. "I am not talking to her, even her voice gives me a headache".

Secretary Anne passes the phone to beta Axel and waits for instructions.

"What... You fired, pack your shit and move out". Axel stands up and yells.

"What's up bro?". Jaxson rarely heard his brother yell and curse though firing people they were both used to.

"Some weird chick took Charlie while Natalie was shopping and she insisted on bringing him here herself, she's a stalker or she wants money". Axel runs his hands through his messy blonde hair and walks out. Jaxson smiled thankfully he didn't have to deal with the drama.

"Good luck with that one bro". With that, he headed back to his desk and a mountain of paperwork.

On the road...

"So Charlie while we are on your way to see your daddy wanna play a game?". Paige asked the cute little cupcake she had just picked up.

"Can I call you pretty sister?". He said as he wiggled in his seat.

"Sure, can I call you cupcake?". Paige was hopeful he wouldn't mind.

"But you the one that smells like chocolate cake silly. Can you stay with me, I'll be bored waiting on dad to finish work and I'm hungry. Can I go to your house and wait I'll be super quiet". Cupcake started to beg using his big blue eyes as a weapon making my resolve waver.

"Haha sure cupcake, as long as your dad's happy I'll take you shopping and maybe we can make the chocolate cake you keep talking about". Paige would take him anywhere as long as his dad didn't mind.

"Yum.... your the best pretty sister. That's the building there on the left". Cupcake points to the tallest skyscraper in the City.

"Okies cupcake show me where to go".

"Your the best, pretty sister". They both get out and cupcake reaches up to Paige so she picked him up. They both walk into the building and a woman dressed in a suit comes up to them.

"Thank goddess your ok Charlie, Natalie called and said... well never mind that your both here now let's go upstairs your dad is waiting. You can just put him down miss and be on your way". The woman in the suit started to hold her hands out to take cupcake from Paige.

"No pretty sister has to come too, I'm gonna ask daddy something". Cupcake avoided the woman's arms and dive into Paige's arms further.

"OK, this way. Miss don't blame me his dad is furious". The woman in the suit seemed to not like her already and Paige was fine with that. They wouldn't meet again.

They walk to the elevator and go all the way to the top floor, it is all floor to ceiling windows, the view is beautiful. There's a desk and two large doors opposite each other. We turn to the office on the left but Paige kind of wanted to turn right instead... strange.
