1 Chapter 1: The Stranger

Chapter 1: The Stranger

The small town of Cedar Creek was a quiet place, nestled among the dense forests of the Pacific Northwest. It was the kind of place where everyone knew everyone else's name, and the only thing to worry about was the occasional bear or cougar sighting.

But on a cold autumn night, a stranger arrived in Cedar Creek. He was a tall man with broad shoulders and a square jawline. His hair was jet black, and his eyes were piercing blue. He wore a dark coat that billowed behind him in the chilly wind.

The townspeople didn't know what to make of the stranger. He didn't say much, but when he did speak, his voice was low and commanding. He rented a room at the only motel in town and spent most of his days wandering the forests.

The man's presence was unsettling, but no one could quite put their finger on why. There was just something off about him. And as the days passed, strange things began to happen in Cedar Creek.

Animals went missing from the nearby farms, and the townspeople found strange symbols etched into the trees. Whispers of curses and dark magic spread through the town, and some began to fear that the stranger was responsible.

But no one could prove anything, and the stranger remained elusive. That was until one night when a young woman went missing. Her name was Emily, and she was last seen walking home from her shift at the local diner.

The town was in a panic, and the sheriff organized a search party. The stranger joined in, his dark coat billowing behind him as he strode into the woods.

As they searched, the stranger seemed to have a strange sense of direction. He led the group to a clearing in the woods, where they found Emily's body. She was covered in strange markings, and her eyes were wide with terror.

The townspeople turned on the stranger, accusing him of being responsible for Emily's death. But the stranger simply looked at them with his piercing blue eyes and said, "You have no idea what you're dealing with."

And with that, he disappeared into the night, leaving the townspeople to wonder who the stranger really was and what dark magic he had brought with him to Cedar Creek.
