THE INJURED STRANGER

Splatter ! Splatter !

The weather was cloudy and soon rain started to befall on the land , while occasionally thunder shook the sky .

Rumble !

The thunder lumniated the dark sky for a moment before fading away .

In these rainy weather , a group of people were travelling swiftly.

"Hurry up Gareen or else we will end up spending in this place for whole time "

A rough voice of lady can be heard from inside the carriage .

To her reply , the carriage driver named Gareen spoke immediately

"Yes madam we will soon reach Cloudfell city in less than a hour . "

the lady inside the carriage snorted lightly and stopped talking .

The Horse which was pulling the carriage was pacing up as fast as possible but due to the heavy wind and the constant uneven paths made their travel difficult .

The fire lantern which was hanging outside the carriage already been extinguished from the sudden wind but luckily they didn't get lost in the dark forest since there was still moolight coming through the dark clouds .

These people are in a hurry to reach the city safely but the arrival of rain caused them to slow down their journey but still they were travelling in fastest speed or else they have to spend the night here if the rainfall became heavy .

Suddenly Gareen who was controlling the carriage looked in front of him in confusion until his eyes became surprised

He hesitated for awhile but still said in the end .

"Madam I think there is someone in the front asking for a lift ! Should I run past him or should I help him?"

The lady inside the carriage paused for a moment and said with doubt

"Who does even travel inside this dark forest at these late night ? and there was even raining which is totally not good for traveling alone ....it must be some bandits !"

The lady was alarmed thinking that it must be someone who has malicious intent so she said in hurry tone

"Don't stop , move forward at all cost !"

Hearing the firm tone of the lady , the Driver Gareen nodded his head and rushed forward without stopping.

The speed of the horse increased dramatically while tension started to brew around them until they could finally see who was that figure.

A twenty year old kid with blonde hair was standing on the middle of the road , trembling from the heavy wind and cold.

He had handsome look but sadly it was covered in blood and dust which made him a sorry figure .

He wore a tattered cloak which covered his whole body and a long wooden stick in his hands .

When Gareen saw the long wooden stick in the stranger hand , the first thought entered in his mind was that this person was a mage and he became serious and fearful of it.

No one shan't disrespect a mage !

He knew that mages shouldn't be disrespected so he thought of stopping the horse until he clearly saw the strange person wasn't holding a staff , he was holding a normal wooden stick to prevent himself from falling .

And reason for that is simple...The strange person had his legs wounded seriously and even with the bandages all around it ..the bleeding was still coming from the wound.

Observing all if this Gareen sighed in relief and said to the lady inside the carriage.

"Madam it's a youth who is heavily injured . Should we help him or continue our journey?"

The lady heaved in relief hearing it wasn't a hooligans or bandit's. She thought for a moment and made the decision to rescue the boy .

"Forget it . Let's do a good karma once for a while "

After that she said to Gareen

"Bring him inside"

Gareen was surprised hearing this and was about to remind her something

"This...."

But she cut off her

"Enough chit chat ! We have to reach the city as soon as possible remember?"

Gareen nodded his head and stopped the horse .

Neigh!

Rumble! Rumble !

The lightning crashed across the skies and thunder strike sound could be heard from deep in the skies. While the heavy wind pressed the tall trees to the ground.

Gareen held his hat tightly on top of his head and yelled at the stranger.

"Hey boi! What are you looking at ? You are in luck to meet kind people today so hurry up and enter "

The stranger was trembling from the heavy wind . But when he heard the words he raised his head and said with difficulty

"T-thank-k.... y-you..."

After saying that he fell to the ground and entered unconscious .

"H-hey...you ....what happened to you ?"

"Aiyah .... you get up!"

Rumble ! Rumble !

Only the echoing sound of thunder and the hurried noises of women could be heard in the background.

Rumble ! Rumble

.....

"The time has come ...."

"Your a failure ! Stop denying that!"

"Brat remember to take care of your mother"

"HMM.. PATHETIC "

"Since it's like that then ...let me end it once for and all...."

"FOURTH SPELL - ETERNAL DEATH"

"Hahahaha-....."

"STOP!"

"Noooooo....."

The stranger immediately woke up from the nightmare and looked around in caution and fear but only to find out he was inside a unfamiliar cart and was watched by several pairs of curious eyes.

"Huff.....Huff"

He lowered his head and looked around his body only to find out he was half naked but he didn't mind about it .

Instead he focused on the deep scars found on all over his body . He finally took a moment to recover his messy minds and then he glanced at the curious eyes who were currently examining him.

There were four ladies seated before him , were dressed like maids from noble family. But they were using heavy perfume around them which made him annoyed.

He didn't bother about it instead said in low voice

"Thank you for the ride ....."

The ladies were surprised to hear his deep voice and they started to giggle all of a sudden .

One of the lady who looked like a leader among the them said in smile

"My my... talking like a adult huh ? Little boi aren't you a lost one ?"

The sranger glanced at them and said with same tone

"Where are we going to ?"

The same lady looked at him in curiosity and said

"To kraken city . Why? are you not from this city?"

The stranger didn't reply to her words and instead had blank look on his face which indicated that he didn't know about this place.

Another one of the lady winked slightly at the other and said in a soft voice towards him

"Little boi ! Where are your parents ?"

The Stranger paused slightly when he heard it . His body trembled for a second before he raised his head at them and said lightly .

"Dead..."

The women suddenly felt chill when saw saw his black eyes . She didn't know whether it was illusion or not but she saw a blue light flashing in his eyes .

But when they heard his words the four ladies didn't know what to say so the atmosphere became depressed .

The lady coughed and said in sorry tone

"I'm sorry we didn't meant that "

The stranger became silent again and the ladies stopped asking questions.

The rest of the journey was passing in silent but the ladies were all still looking at him in curiosity .

The Stranger didn't bother about the gaze Instead he closed his eyes and entered in his own thoughts.

Rumble! Rumble !

Suddenly in admist of the thunder sound , a loud yell from Gareen could be heard from the outside.

"Who is it ?"

Rumble! Rumble !

Suddenly everyone's face changed !
