33 THE TATTOO

Instantly, she rushed to him and bent to his level, then she held his arm gently. "Rick, are you okay?" She asked in a soft and tender voice. Riccardo groaned in response. Earlier she was like a vicious lion whose motive was to kill him, but now, she was as meek as a lamb.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to…," Adriana bite her lower lips when she was short of words to say.

Riccardo held his tummy with his right hand as he struggled to sit up. Once he had successful done that, his eyes went to Adriana who felt remorseful for her actions. She hasn't intended to hit him, she didn't even knew how it happened.

"Your actions are a bit off today. Something's up, tell me what it is," he said. Adriana was taken aback by his words. Wasn't he supposed to get mad at her or at least give her a cold shoulder for hurting him?

"You're not mad at me?" She asked slowly. She watched as he smiled broadly before staring up at the sky.
