24 Chapter Twenty-Four: Research

As days go, this one was uneventful, as I told Mr. Jones that night in the email. I had considered telling Mr. Jones about what had happened with Keith. I had promised Molly that I would. However, in the end, I decided to wait until he got back, and we could talk face to face. It might have been an excuse to not say anything at all, but I latched onto it with the logic that this wasn't something to write about over an email.

Instead, I explained that I was happy to be riding back and forth with Scott and Molly and told him a quick thank you for asking them. I wrote about my classes and the assignments I had to do for them and how pleased I was that I'd managed to get them mostly done for the night. I signed off, telling him that I hoped work was going well for him. Once again, I had barely stepped away from the computer before it dinged and let me know that there was a message back.
