~Hades~

Out of all the days why'd they have to bother me today? My coyote mate had disappeared years ago and now she was getting married.

I looked at the two kids who were looking at me with fear. I raised an eyebrow and they nodded. They left and I looked at the wedding invitation I had been sent. I was going to have to go. Other Alphas were going, so if I didn't go, it would make me look weak.

So now I found myself in a corner, trying to console a human, who was crying. Turns out her mate rejected her and was marrying my own mate. Not many people were here yet and neither were the bride and groom.

"Hey let's get out of here." I told her.

She let me pull her to her feet and I escorted her outside where my friends pulled up.

"Hades?" Ian, my Beta asked.

"We'll come back later. Turns out her mate's the groom." I said before she started crying again.

"Well I know a place that'll cheer you up. They just added the Djinn of Japan exhibit at the museum." Moriah, Ian's mate said.

"Is the lamp there?" The human asked with interest.

"I think so, I'm not sure. They just opened it to the public today."

When we got to the museum, which wasn't far from where the wedding was being held, I made note of the time. We had an hour before we needed to get there. We followed the human around as she explored everything but then she disappeared. We looked around for her for ten minutes before Theo mindlinked saying he found her. We met up with him at the Djinn exhibit and he pointed to where a group of adults were bowing their heads at her.

"Please don't." The human whispered standing up.

"I failed as a Djinn to protect my charge, and I failed as a Queen to protect my own people. So don't call me you're majesty or Queen." She said as her hair turned white. "Just let me in my bottle and bury me away."

"Oh no you aren't!" I said walking over. "Running away is never the answer. You're going to have to face your problems eventually because if you keep running they'll come to you." I added as I sat down on the bench next to her.

She looked up at me with dark grey eyes. Her pupils dilated just before growing till there was only black.

"I can't go by myself." She whispered, resting her head on my shoulder. "The Fae Queen has never attended an event alone without a date."

And neither have I!

I stood up and did a mocking bow, before holding my hand out.

"Will you do me the honor of being my date?" I asked with a smile.

She stood up and took my hand.

"Only if you will be, my date." She said with a small smile. "Let's go wreck a wedding." She nearly all but screamed as she dragged me past my friends.

What did I just get myself into? But that didn't matter what mattered was the fact our ex-mates were in for a surprise.

When we got to the wedding we sat in the back and watched. We didn't interrupt or say they shouldn't do this. We all went to the reception and as we were waiting in line, I looked at the Djinn I knew now to be from Japan but I still didn't know her name. Her real name. I remember that her name changed with every dinner and party she went to.

We reached the door and I gave the man my real name and the titles.

"Wolf King and Heartless Alpha. Hades Tavoularis." Which, his eyes widened, in fear and he bowed his head.

He looked at the Djinn next to me.

"Fae Queen and Lightning Empress. Kuro Aoki." She answered looking away from me.

The Lightning Empress, a woman who was left in a lightning chamber and was found supposedly dead. They say she went on a killing spree after she was healed.

"Welcome to the reception." The man said, trying not to look at her.

By the smell he had pissed his pants. I escorted her inside and pulled her to a secluded spot.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her.

She ducked her head and a blue light traveled down to her feet. A glamour. She looked up and she had an electric scar on her face. I ran my finger down it before I kissed it.

"It's a part of you. Makes you strong and just know I won't let anyone ever hurt you again."

She smiled.

"I know we aren't mates but can we act like it for this whole wedding week?" She whispered.

"I was gonna ask you the same thing." I told her.

She smiled and we walked into the reception area. Maria and Damian, our ex-mates walked over and frowned.

"Who's the scarred girl Tavy?" Maria asked me, ignoring Kuro.

I growled at her and pulled Kuro close.

"It's okay, Hades." Kuro said, reaching up to caress my face. "She can't scare me away."

"His name is Tavy."

"Oh, he didn't tell you?" Kuro said with a smile.

Maria's smile faltered.

"Tell me what?"

"Tavys a nickname a lot of people call him. Hades is his real name and he's all mine."

"Whatever pathetic, hum-

Before she could finish, Kuro's ex-mate dropped to the ground gasping for breath. Maria dropped to the ground and began calling for help. Kuro knelt down and Maria looked at her.

"Let's get this straight I'm not a human and I never will be. I'm a Djinn. I'll release the hold I have on his lungs but leave Hades and his pack alone. You lost your chance with him." Kuro stood up as Damian hugged Maria.

Kuro looked at me.

"I'm sorry."

I nodded in understanding and she left. She needed time to herself. I wonder if she would like to go on a real date?

"Wolf King, we've got a situation." My Beta said running in.

"What is it?" I growled with irritation.

"It's Queen Kuro. She's frozen."

What? She had just left. I followed him outside and she was standing there in one place, a blank look on her face. I looked to see where she was looking and it was King Aries and Queen Erika, of the Vampires, except Erika was a recently turned fledgling. They were heading our way. I pulled Kuro to me and she snapped out of her dazed look. The two walked over to us and we bowed our heads at each other, well except for Kuro.

"Who's the human?" Erika asked with a smile.

"I'm not human, Erika Lemurian." Kuro snapped. "Oh and good luck with the baby, it's going to be a conniving Siren like you once were."

Erika hissed at her but Kuro stood her ground.

"I'm the one who turned you human, so you could be with him. Well mostly human."
