V2.Chapter 1

<Underworld, a certain siscon's office>

"You did what! Are you crazy Sirzechs? How could agree with that suicidal plan? Kidnapping Haru's girlfriends and forcing them to become pawns? What's wrong with you?"

"Calm down, Serafall. Nothing will happen. The girls will become Rias' pawns that will stop him from doing anything against us, and even if he does, he's just a weak Ultimate class in the worst case. Nothing we or I couldn't handle."

"And why did you let that bastard come back? Hasn't he done enough damage to us?"

"Shalba is the rightful successor of the Beelzebub title, Serafall and you know it. While he wasn't the best candidate, he's the strongest and the most liked one, also he's the one that captured the girls. He deserves to be pardoned and welcomed back, after all, I can't say no to another strong devil, plus the fact that the old faction will support us thanks to him."

"Sirzechs for the love of Satan don't poke the bee nest. Haru-chan is dangerous and you know it. Even if I beg him to stop from attacking you, he won't stop…"

Just as she was about to continue, a woman dressed as a maid teleported into the office.

"Sirzechs-sama, Serafall-sama. An unknown entity broke through the barrier that protects the underworld. I already send a team to investigate, but it's been two hours already and they didn't report yet. I fear something happened."

"Sirzechs, it isn't that simple. You know how hard it is to break through that barrier and only something stronger than a Super Devil could break that barrier, the only problem is who's that angry to forcefully enter the underworld?"

"What could happen? It may just be a false alarm, nothing to worry about."

"Sirzechs-sama, I believe Serafall-sama may be right. Ajuka said that there can't be a false alarm and only something stronger than you could break that barrier or force it opened."

Unfortunately for them, someone sends them a declaration in the form of a gift. All three of them felt multiple presences in the room, but as soon as they were ready to attack, a pyramid made of heads appeared on the table with a note on the side:

[You would laugh monster, but let me remind you.

Within that weak sack of meat and bone, uncared for by his Satan and wept for by none, beats a heart, a human heart, or maybe a devil one that carries with it the strength and courage of all devils. Within that sack of meat is ensconced the hope, the will, and the fury of every man woman, and child from every corner of the Underworld. Within that weak sack of meat, festooned in thin armor and weapons only powerful in numbers, beats the heart of a man. And for thousands of years, the hearts of men have beaten, strongly, in defiance of your so-called "powers". For thousands of years, the hearts of men have stood united against a whole world that despises them for no reason save that they had the audacity not to lay down and die. For thousands of years, your arrogance has been pushed back, beaten down, and made a mockery of, by weak sacks of flesh with cheap weapons and disposable equipment.

For that weak sack of flesh that you so gleefully mock is no super devil, no immortal warrior, no creature cursed by some mighty being like God. Once a fool dream will remain a fool dream, no matter the costs or how many people are sacrificed.

So what's your excuse, monster? Why did you do it?

Serafall starts to tremble as soon as she read the note, she knows who wrote and who killed the team, yet she hopes it's not him, after all, she likes him and can't bear to fight him.

Grayfia on the other was shocked by the declaration of war. Not only the person that wrote the declaration was right on point, he even pointed out what's wrong with the devils: their arrogance and how many died because of some arrogant idiots. The Underworld is huge and there wasn't any shortage of space, but the devils always have wanted more than they can chew.

Meanwhile, Sirzechs was starting to regret his decisions, thankfully he took his sister back to the underworld so nothing could happen to hear, as for Serafall's sister? He didn't care.

"Sirzechs-sama, what are you going to do? The enemy has the ability to appear right in the heart of the Underworld unnoticed. He could assassinate all of the important people and then let the chaos engulf the Underworld."

"It's just one foolish guy what can he do?"

(A/N: Famous last words, ladies and fellow men of culture-jokes aside, that's one big flag)

<Yoshida Haru POV>

Once a fool, a fool for life and it took me a whole two minutes to think and write that declaration… some people don't know what courtesy is these days.

Thankfully I already warned Riser about what happened and he told his father. The old Phenex understood what his son was trying to do and soon after, the whole family alongside their people disappeared from the Underworld.

The next person that I warned was Sona and while she didn't say anything, I could understand that it was probably a shock for her and most likely she contacted her sister, unfortunately, I couldn't contact Serafall myself.

Right now, I was standing on a rock on top of a hill while I was looking at the beautiful sight that was in front of me, the Devil Capital, quite a beautiful place. Unfortunately, the same beautiful city needs to be conquered, such is the war.

Looking for one more time at the city, I jumped on the ground causing quite a lot of eyes to look at me, but as soon as the city guards saw me they flew towards me.

Just as they were about to approach me, a rain of arrows descends on them killing all ten guards.

Slowly after the guards were filled with arrows, thousands upon thousands of armored skeletons killed the hills and stood behind me, prepared to strike at any moment. The people that saw what happened, start yelling and running in fear as soon as my army appeared behind me, and here I thought that the devils will have more guts seeing that they are just like some young masters.

I looked right at the biggest building in the city and yelled using my magic.

"You picked the wrong side, fool!"
