45 The Many-eyed One

Within the titan system, almost all titans could identify the hierarchical structure of their primeval society.

There were those born with the essence of a leader, kings of their generations, almost unrivaled rulers - Alpha Titans.

Some held onto the role of subservience, the subjects, the mobs - basically NPCs.

From Chaos came Order or was it vice versa? Chaos, the antithesis of Order, stemmed from anarchy within a lawless system without a prominent leader.

The Alpha Titans were the embodiments of Order but the same could be said when it came to Chaos. Even within the primordial ecosystem, they would naturally be Alpha Titans that were purely entities of Chaos, Destruction, and Death.

Godzilla and King Kong stood for Order. Mothra, the Queen of Monsters, even though not as formidable as the two, couldn't be underestimated.

Then there was King Ghidorah, the three-headed Dragon, Incarnation of Pure Malice, though an Alpha Titan, a god in his own right, he represented the antithesis to Order. The One who is Many defied the natural, disdained law, and embraced ruination.

Impressive, right?

The four-way fight between these superior titans was currently put on pause and they were gazing at something incomprehensible - something beautiful yet horrifying.

If there were entities that represented the concept of Chaos and Order perfectly, was there a possibility of an existence beyond these two mere concepts?

The new addition to the war, the foreign creature before them, was Primal Insanity made incarnate. A living anomaly. A cosmic imbalance.

Neither Chaos nor Order could define this existence.

This indescribable entity was a walking quagmire of contradictory concepts.

He/She was the horror that harbored the unknown.

Even though King Ghidorah shared the essence of otherworldliness with the unknown many-eyed one, the self-proclaimed god of the Titans felt that the creature was much more than that.

Beneath the gloomy, inky night, the creature's unsettling eyes roamed with disturbing uniformity, seemingly seeing through the secrets of reality such that their mere status as apocalyptic monsters was just cartoon play.

"ROOOARR!!" King Ghidorah's middle head, the leader of the trio, released a high-pitched roar with an underlying scratching quality.

The other two heads followed the middle one's action before they all roared in perfect synchronization.

King Ghidorah couldn't be threatened by any living creature that walked the planet. That was his long-standing perspective. The perspective of an usurper.

When has a god ever knelt before a mortal? When has one who has traversed the outer void and caused multi-galactic destruction ever known fear?

Looking grotesquely different and menacing didn't faze King Ghidorah one bit as he had seen far too many oddities in its entire existence.

The Four Titans felt like they were facing a common enemy but was the prospect of a one-time cooperation really possible between ancient 'either you die or I die' rivals?

Far away from the battlefield of the mighty apex titans, the second-generation researchers of the new species, the Monarch officials watched with bated breaths as they witnessed events beyond the control of man and god.

"She feels threatened and afraid. This is the first time I have ever seen Mothra agitated but… She is not going to back down or show weakness as the reigning Queen. A crowned Queen that bows to no one!" Dr Chen, a quite attractive Asian woman, dressed in an all-black office outfit, spoke with confidence as she witnessed Mothra screech at the newcomer.

"Dr. Chen, could that 'thing' be part of some mythology?" Dr. Russell frowned as she stared at the indescribable behemoth that the word 'invasive' couldn't even be applied to.

Dr. Chen majored in ancient mythologies just like her mother and grandmother. It was more like a family tradition that was deep within their bloodline. Uncovering the untold tales and the hidden truth of the ancients was Dr. Chen's forte.

"The many-eyed one exists not in both Titan and human history, unlike Ghidorah. He's a nightmare." Dr. Chen's Asian accent was heard as she gravely responded to Dr. Russell.

"We are out of luck. Godzilla will not last long, especially in this imminent battle!" Dr. Stanton, a middle-aged white-haired man with black frames interjected with urgency as he hastily monitored Godzilla's spiking radiation levels.

Serizawa, I hope your sacrifice won't go in vain, Dr. Russell had a heavy mood as she thought about her fallen friend who had sacrificed himself for the survival of humanity.

In the original timeline, Dr. Russell was supposed to die but there she was, alive and spared from a dark fate.

She had Ralph or better the herald of Insanity to thank.

WHIRRR!!

Golden lightning began to whirl from King Ghidorah's belly and traveled to his three heads before he overbearingly directed the 'Gravity Beams' at the Many-eyed One.

BANG!

The Many-eyed One smirked in disdain as it coldly met the violent attack that was a mixture of excited gravitons and lethal extraterrestrial lightning.

The Many-eyed One allowed the lightning to shower over him and baptize his physical body.

The pain was almost negligible but the resultant kinetic force made him take a small step back.

Now this is what I call the minor Heavenly Tribulations, the Many-eyed One joked lightly as he cast a mocking glare at the false king - King Ghidorah.

Is this all you amount to, little G? You couldn't even tickle me. What a disappointment.

King Ghidorah felt the mockery and disdain as it rushed toward the enemy with skyward momentum.

He was bigger, taller, and overwhelmingly tyrannical which made him dwarf almost all of his adversaries.

The Many-eyed One perceived his reality like a live video in slow motion, his mental calculations and thinking process thousands of times more exaggerated than that of an average human.

He could see - visualize - the paths toward victory in a span of microseconds.

The enemy before him was a formidable opponent but the Many-eyed One was confident in his cultivated and evolved strength.

Bigger didn't always mean stronger.

The Many-eyed One scratched his monomolecular claws on the ground, waiting, preying, itching to decapitate.

But something happened that caught the Many-eyed One by surprise, Godzilla attacked King Ghidorah from behind without warning despite his dire state.

'Wow, Gojira is overflowing.'

'That radiation… I will have to suck it off. But why does it sound disturbing and homo-?'

'[Siphon] is the most suitable nonsexual vocabulary for the context, right?' The Many-eyed One decided to watch Godzilla do his thing first before he acted.
