After several times of messing around with the system-themed status window, I realized that it could also measure my real-time physical attributes.

Well, it could refresh and update itself to mirror all of my future progression.

Also, it wasn't like your typical system that gave out quests or punishment or even random rewards, it was just there to record my biodata.

My height was just like the original Ralph's beginning form but it wasn't exactly that tall in the grand scheme of things.

Godzilla junior was already taller than me but, at least, I was a few meters tall than that T-Rex from Jurassic World movie.

The largest creature to ever exist in the Rampage Universe by now should be Lizzie. Taking his huge size advantage, hard scaly defense, terrifying bite force, she was probably easily the strongest if the timeline still remained the same.

A day had barely passed but that duration had been enough to create behemoths capable of overturning cities and bringing turmoil to the common people.

Within two to three days, it had been enough to cause catastrophic destruction to Chicago to the point of hopelessness. But that wasn't as impressive as Pacific Rim Kaijus that terrorized multiple cities within days.

The Rampage Universe could be considered just a low-level monster world which primarily housed only three gigantic mutated creatures.

Contrary to what the Square cube laws stipulates, creatures of Kaiju origins walked in defiance of the laws of physics.

I was also a living example.

After I had left the dead territory, I had ventured deep into forests and began a hunting game.

It hadn't been to gain skills but to satiate my ever-growing hunger. My prime targets had been herds of elks, deers and moose whose innate traits weren't worth it. They could only serve as nourishments.

I was just subtracting the biomass and leveling the ecosystem.

Shh, I am not an environmental activist.

My hunting was made easy since I was able to sense the Earth's magnetic fields to navigate through the forests and plains of Wyoming.

In addition to that, I could use sonar pulses to locate prey.

A Bat's DNA and a shark's DNA can really work wonders. The original Pathogen-R had the genetic traits of those living organisms coded into it.

Anyway, many things have happened and currently, I am facing one of my greatest foes to ever exist.

You might be wondering about what kind of enemy I might be facing, right?

It was neither a honey badger nor a mosquito.

You would be shocked to find that it was an enemy 100 times smaller than I.

The Praying Mantis.

It had its two raptorial legs hoisted in utter fearlessness and ferocity and it little head constantly turning from east to west to gaze at my enormous muzzle sniffing down at it.

Whenever I hovered around its striking zone, it would deliver lightning fast jabs at me, an insufferable plebeian trying to disturb its eternal tranquility.

'How can the little buddy know no fear in the presence of a terrifying predator more powerful than it?' I wondered with interest showing in my eyes.

'Interesting. Truly interesting. Can this be categorized as just mere ignorance of the weak or it's just fighting to maintain its dignity and exercise its hidden ferocity? Which is which, huh?'

I observed and studied the praying mantis and I couldn't help but feel that it was a special living organism.

It would literally wage war at any being that tried to mess with it.

You want war, I will bring you war!

'Respect, little one. You have earned my respect but I am not going to spare you.'

'You have something that I massively lack.'

I opened my mouth and created a suctioning force to suck in the little Martial God of Insects into my tummy and ended its puny existence.

[You have absorbed a Praying Mantis.]

[Praying Mantis's Genes successfully cut and pasted into the genetic bank]

[Predation effect has been triggered.]

[The unique skill 'Fearless' has been acquired successful!]

[Do you want to merge with unique skill 'Fearless'?]

[Yes/No]

I chose 'Yes.'

After acquiring the skill, I immediately felt a jolt run through my mind and deep into my soul (whatever it was, I couldn't explain it naturally).

It was as if my frame of mind was being remodeled into something new entirely.

My mind became calm, so damn calm and the little bits of anxiety within me had been expelled.

I toggled the explanation mode on to see in detail what my new skill offered.

[Fearless: This unique trait allows the user to possess complete immunity to fear, never experiencing any terror or extreme anxiety. They can maintain clear thinking, physical mobility, and function effectively even in situations that would incapacitate an ordinary person due to fear. The user remains perfectly calm and composed even when faced with the most horrifying or traumatizing experiences.]

[As an ant, you can face Gods, deities, demons, and eldritch horrors alike with a fearless demeanor but beware 'haxes' exist for a reason.]

I chuckled internally after reading the last description, finding it quite amusing.

It held semblances of undeniable truth.

I was exactly a 'Big' ant but with the potential to become a demon god or even an inconceivable aberration to ever exist.

Within [Genetic Archiving] lay almost infinite possibilities, paths that would evolve beyond the heavens.

I just had to survive, eat, and evolve and repeat. If I could maintain this astonishing level of diligence, then I wouldn't necessarily suffer from predation from other apex predators.

The penalty that I had previously read from the status screen wasn't really like the usual death penalty restriction from sadistic systems. It just stated the obvious ending if I failed to grow stronger through killing and feeding on others.

It was that simple.

Before I faced off against Lizzie and George, It was better to strengthen myself quickly and evolve within this short duration.

But could evolution be forced?
