Chapter thirty six

Lizzy and Jake were wondering through the forest. All of a sudden, a man ran to their behind. The man is being chased by wolves . Some of the wolves were white, some were black, and some were black and white.

" stop. And let this man go in peace " Lizzy yelled, as she flatten her palm in front of her, as a stop sign.

" why are you chasing this innocent man? " Jake asked.

" this man is not innocent. He tried to kill our pups " the oldest wolf there, said in a growling voice. The oldest wolf is black and white. Lizzy turned to the man.

" I.. I.. I was... hu.. hungry " the man said still frightened. Lizzy turned back to the wolves ...

" he was hungry. I agree that he was not suppose to do that, but please forgive him now " Lizzy said. She was standing bold.

" that sounds like an order " the wolf said.

" okay, please forgive him " Jake said with a pleading look on his face.

" okay, we will forgive the human. But don't forget that you're our enemy " the wolf said. Jake and Lizzy's eyes widened. Jake quickly grabbed Lizzy's hand, she was already getting ready to fight. Jake took the man's hand also, then disappeared.

They appeared beside the river that was I. the forest.

" why did you do that?, those wolves wanted to fight us, and I would have gladly fought all of them if you aren't willing to " Lizzy complained.

" we shouldn't make more enemies " Jake said.

" we are already enemies " Lizzy said. Jake just kept quiet, not will to continue this argument.

Lizzy sighed, then turned to the human, who was shaking in fear. The man has brown hair, he's tall, thin, has black eyes, fair skinned, small nose and big lips.

" we can't let him leave the forest. He will surely tell people about us " Lizzy whispered to Jake's ear.

" so, what should we do? " Jake asked in a whispering voice.

" either we kill him, or let him stay in the forest and die in hunger. There's water here, he can at least use it to sustain himself " Lizzy whispered back.

" then why did we save him? " Jake asked.

" he ran to us for protection, we can't just embarrass him like that " Lizzy replied.

The man started looking round, as if he was looking for something or someone.

" what is it? " Jake asked the man.

" I'm hungry. I've been lost in this forest for three days. I haven't eaten or drank anything since then " the man said. Jake turned to Lizzy...

" do you think, we should take him home with us? " Jake asked.

" what?, no " Lizzy yelled surprised by his question. " how can you ask the?, or have you forgotten, that no humans are allowed in the mansion? " Lizzy yelled.

" lord Devon isn't as bad as before, he will say yes if we asked him. I feel pity for this man " Jake explained.

" you are gonna go to the mansion, then ask him " Lizzy said.

While at the mansion, Devon was in a meeting with other demon lords, in his study.

" Ördög is back, and I want each and every one of you to look for him " Devon said.

" that demon has been wanted for many years, we will surely search for him " Lethean said.

" yes, and he will get a very hard punishment " Lucas. The other demons agreed.

" no one should know that Ördög is back. We will search for him without anyone knowing " Devon made his order.

" But what about the higher lord? " Anubis asked. Anubis is an Ancient Egyptian name that means royal child or prince.

In the Book of the Dead, Anubis was the God of Death and Guardian of the Scales. He determined whether the dead were good enough to enter the underworld.

" he already know about this " Devon replied.

As soon as the meeting was finished, Jake took that opportunity to tell Devon about the man.

" my lord, there's this innocent man we found in the forest, he was being chased by wolves..." Jake started talking about everything that had happened.

" he can work as a servant " Jake hurriedly said as soon as he finished his story.

" you and your kind heart. Okay, you can bring him here " Devon said then disappeared. Jake happily went back to Lizzy and the man.

" he said yes " Jake said. The man smiled. " but you will work as a slave, there in the mansion " Jake said.

" okay, what is your name? " Lizzy asked.

" Benjamin " he replied.
