Chapter seventy

After Tania was done eating, she decided to visit Devon.

" where's Devon's room? " she asked.

" that way, madame " the first maid said, pointing at the door. Tania smiled, then went there.

* knock knock * she knocked. There was no response, so she did it again * knock knock * she waited for a while, but no one answered.

" the lord had left early to look for the lady " a voice from behind. Tania turned.

"who are you? " she asked. The person bowed...

" I'm Lizzy. I'm the lady's personal maid " Lizzy replied.

" okay. I'm Devon's friend, Tania "she introduced herself.

" so, why are you here, and not outside the forest? " Lizzy asked rudely.

" I don't have anywhere to stay, so I decided to come here " Tania replied.

" if that's so, then I'm willing to leave this forest to find a house for you " Lizzy said. They both just stared at each others eyes with a murderous look on their face.

" you're just a maid, here " Tania said, with an obvious anger all over her voice.

" and you're just a guest here " Lizzy said with calmed voice.

" I am Devon's friend! " Tania yelled.

" you called him friend, so he decided to act like one. Lord Devon does not have anybody that he calls his father. Not even his brother. He only has his love, and that's my lady " Lizzy said. Tania couldn't say a word. " I'll go find you a house outside the forest, bye " Lizzy said then disappeared.

" I hate her " Tania said. " she's so despicable " she walked away.

Devon sat on top of a tree branch. Thinking of his moment with Celina, lost in his thoughts on her. All of a sudden, he heard some sounds, then some wolves rushed out of the bushes...

" where did she go? " one asked.

" go that way, hurry " another said, then they ran to the other direction. Devon just looked down at them. After they were out of sight, Devon continued staring at the sky.

" Celina " he called.

" uh? " Devon heard a sound from the tree. He looked inside the tree, and found someone inside.

" you called me? " the girl came out. She held the tree branch as support, so she won't fall. Devon couldn't speak. He was so darn surprised.

" Ce... Ce...Celina? " he called.

" um? " she showed him her cute puppy eyes.

" Celina " he quickly hugged her. All of a sudden, they were on the ground.

Devon wrapped Celina around his arms. Tears flowing down his eyes.

" I knew you'll come back to me " he kept on crying.

" don't cry, don't cry, did I leave you before? " she asked. They part bodies.

" I knew...you'll never leave me " Devon said.

" do you know me? " she asked confused. The smile on Devon's face, disappeared

" Celina, what's my name? " Devon asked. He holding his tears back.

" I've never seen you before, so how am I gonna know your name? " Celina said, confused. Devon took a deep breath.

" find heeeeerrrrrrr " one of those wolves yelled from the bushes. They were already coming back to Devon and Celina's direction.

" oh no, they're coming " Celina wanted to run, but Devon held her hand, and quickly disappeared.

Lizzy came back. She met Tania enjoying the beautiful view from her room window. The door was opened down, but Lizzy still had to knock.

* knock knock knock * Tania turned.

" your new house is ready " Lizzy said. Tania stood up, then walked to Lizzy's side.

" what's are your problems with me? " she asked.

" I don't have problems with you, but I have a problem. And that problem is that you will be a problem to my lady " Lizzy explained, calmly.

" YOUR LADY'S DEAD! " Tania yelled. She's already tired of hearing that Devon's wife is gonna come back. It's also making her upset, because she likes him.

" if Devon wants me to go, I'll go. I want to wait until he comes back. And if he tells me to go, I will " Tania explained, then left the room. Lizzy angrily followed her.

As they reached the living room, they were surprised to see Devon holding a girl's hand. Lizzy and Tania were behind the girl, so they couldn't see her face. But they could see Devon's face, because he was standing opposite the girl.

Lizzy was confused at first, but she smiled as she recognized that body figure.
