3 The orphans

Both of them got into the carriage and went into the city wherein the very center the kids were playing ball.

The princess got out and the knight got out behind her.

"Where are you going?" he asked,

"I am going to meet my friends in the city's garden, my father built it when I was a child, it's where children get to play freely and there is even a cafe right near it" she responded,

"I see, your father is a good king," he said as he followed her to the garden.

Upon arriving there the princes and the princesses from the other kingdoms were already there.

"Hello," she said as she arrived and Prince Nin of the kingdom of Ninalan got up and hugged her.

"How have you been it's been a while?" he asked,

"I have been perfectly fine and how have you been?" she asked,

'Great father will be throwing a ball for my birthday in a few days, you will come right?" he asked,

"Yes I will be there" she responded as princess Linda hugged her from behind she was the sister of Nin.

"It's good to see you too Linda," she said,

'It's been years, I miss having my so-called sister around" she replied as she raised off of Minda.

"Sorry it didn't visit," she said,

"It's okay at least we are here now and it is only for two days" Linda replied with a frown,

"She has always been petty," the princess of Malina Stacy said,

"Stacy" Minda said then hugged the girl then raised and saw Stacy looking at her bodyguard.

"Who is that handsome hunk?" she asked then Amias smiled,

"I am her bodyguard" he responded,

"Nice you definitely got lucky," Stacy said,

"Yeah I am sure I did" she replied.

"What's wrong you two got off on the wrong foot?" Stacy asked,

"Something like that" Amias responded,

"Ah give her some time, she will get used to having you around," Stacy said,

"I don't think so" Minda replied and the prince laughed,

"Come on let's go grab some things to feed the kids in the orphanage," Linda said,

"Yeah, we have not done that in a while" Nin replied,

"Okay come on," Minda said,

"Aren't you coming too, sir?" she asked then Amias raised his right brow,

'I am, your grace" he responded as he followed them to the cafe where they bought a lot of things and boxed it off then all of them came together and placed them in a carriage to take to the orphans.

"It took a long time, it took hours I even missed lunch," Linda said and Minda laughed,

"Once we are finished at the orphanage we will go to the palace and have lunch" Minda replied,

"More like dinner it is 3 hours past lunchtime" Linda cried out and they all laughed.

"Come on guys," she said as they all got into the carriages then left for the orphanage.

After passing a few streets in the city they arrived at a huge building in which a child was looking at them from the bell tower.

All of them entered and as they did they smiled when they saw the kids playing.

"Hello, your highnesses," the caretakers along with the head of the orphanage madam Lo said,

'Madam Lo, we bought food and snacks for the kids" Minda said,

"It's been a long time since you all came here, we will help" Lo replied as the servants helped take the boxes out of the carriage and placed them in the hall of the orphanage.

The kids then ran to princess Minda and hugged her.

"Woah hold on, it's good to see you guys too," she said as she lifted a little girl in her arms.

"Minda it's been a while," the little girl said,

"I know sorry I didn't visit Ming I will visit often now" she replied,

'It's okay princess, you are here now" the six-year-old child said.

"Come on it is getting late let's share out the things," Stella said,

'Sure" Minda replied then placed the girl down.

Little Ming went to Amias and upon seeing the child his eyes widened as the child grabbed onto his hand and pulled him down.

Amias stopped down and the child kissed him on the cheek.

"Creepy kid kissing a stranger," he said to himself.

"She likes you" Minda said,

'Why won't she?" he asked then the prince scoffed,

"Pretty boy," she said then he smiled and gave the little girl the box of things.

'Thank you" Ming said then left.

'Well at least you admit that I am pretty" he said,

'Yeah you are a pretty playboy" she replied with a wicked smile then he looked at her sternly.

"I really do not like her: he said to himself,

"Hmm, why should I trust him?" she asked herself,

"I have never seen you so worked up about a guy before," Stella said,

"I do not like him one bit" she replied,

'I can tell, give him a chance Minda maybe he might surprise you" Stella said then the princess sighed and looked at him as he gave the boxes to the kids.

"Fine I will" she replied,

'Good now it is getting dark and I am hungry can we go now?" Stella asked,

'Yeah we are done here anyway" she responded.

"Okay madam Lo, we will be going now, keep the kids safe," she said,

'I will your highness" she replied then they all got into the carriage and left for the palace.

While going back to the castle the girl noticed a bright green light in the night sky over the hills.

"That looks beautiful," she said then Amias looked and saw the light.

'It is" he replied and that is when she heard howling and so did everyone else.

"Wolves," she said to herself as her eyes widened and the coachman went faster to reach the castle for he was scared too.
