175 Where Is Queen Ariadne?...

The Author's POV. 

The women lined up at the gate with few men. Apollo went to welcome the emperor in the village. Sound of drums and songs of victory could be heard from outside the palace. The queen mother's chest kept rising and falling. She was eager to see her son gain. They have never been separated for this long. Even when his father sent him to exile, she went with him.

The giant door of the gate opened apart. Three men with flags walked in to the palace. Grandmother ordered the maids with baskets to be watchful as soon as the emperor entered the palace; they began to rain flowers on him. 

He sat on his back on his black horse with his head hung high. From his smile, everyone could Sense victory. Beside him were Prince Edward and Edwin. 

The emperor was the first to come down from the horse. He handed the rope to one of the men.

With his hands wide opened, he called "my mother…"
