Keziah leaves Brinston, a ghetto place in Chicago, to begin her new life in California. She moves in with her cousin and gets a job at a big company. Her life seems to be coming together finally, But then she meets Kaine Hendricks, her arrogant boss who's known to have a short temper. No one believes she'll be able to survive being his secretary for more than a week, but Keziah has lived in a hood filled with problematic and downright insane people almost all her life, a spoiled rich brat is nothing compared to what she faced in Brinston.
