4 The Devil's Way

Chapter 04: Preparations

Pharaoh separated from his fellow clansmen then he went back to his room. His room was underground in the mansion making it convenient for him to quickly reach his laboratory from there. Even tho his room was underground but it was very lavish in decorations that only a few places on the mansion can match it.

Reaching his room he did not waste his time and jumped straight to his bed and fell asleep. It was normal that after the ability awakening one will need to sleep after so that their spirit can recharge since it was exhausted in the ability awakening.

Pharaoh slept for eight hours straight and woke up around midnight with his stomach growling. With his stomach growling he got up to go the kitchen to get some food. Walking past the mirror Pharaoh could not help but halt his footsteps as he stared intently into the mirror. On the mirror he could see that his figure had gotten thinner but that was not the most eye catching thing. The eye catching was that his pupils had turned crimson red.

His eyes had originally looked like his mother being blue in colour but now it had changed to being crimson red which was a shock to Pharaoh but he did not panic because of it. Since his father did not mention it then it means that there were people with crimson red eyes so it was not a cause to panic.

GRRRR

His stomach growled again taking him out of his thoughts as he hurriedly got out of his room quickly climbing the stairs at his fastest speed. Upon reaching the ground floor he dashed to the kitchen. Reaching the kitchen he found his food placed on top of the table encased in a wooden bowl.

He opened the bowl and wolfed down the food quickly but after finishing it he noticed a problem. The problem is that he was still hungry and that weirded his out because he was usually easy full with the food that was left for him. Pharaoh did not dwell on those thoughts as he went to the meat locker where they kept beast meat.

Opening the meat locker he looked around then he took the large beast thigh. The thigh's size was large as that it a winter ox. Pharaoh took the meat out and got out of the meat locker and returned to the kitchen. Reaching the kitchen he found that there was how someone else there looking around for food , it was Jack. Jack looked at Pharaoh and the large thigh he was holding then he opened his mouth and asked "Are you going to eat that?"

"As you can see I'm planning to first roast it then eat it but first I need to lite up the fire stove to roast it."

"Be quick youngest I'm also starving."

Pharaoh did not reply any longer as he opened the fire stove then he turned to Jack with a grin and threw the large meat thigh at Jack and said "You roast I heard that you are good at it."

"So you do pay attention to things that happen in the clan."

"I do not pay attention , I just hear the others talking about it when I'm in the arena training my martial arts and weapons play."

Jack caught the large meat thigh then he put it a wooden tray on the and went to where seasoning were stored and started to take spices and salt one after another. He went with the spices and began to season the meat.

Jack didn't waste too much time then began to roast the meat on the fire stove and after he was down both his and Pharaoh did not waste too much time and began to wolf it down and only left the bone. After they were done they both bade each other farewell each headed back to their in rooms to sleep .

Time trickled by and soon it was morning. Pharaoh woke up then sat in a meditative position and began to absorb world essence. World essence was the essence of the world and it could be found everywhere whether in trees , animals , humans , rivers and spiritual mountains. Humans had research for a long time and eventually found out that by the use of ability stones to awaken an ability then after having the ability awakened the would then have the ability to absorb world essence via mediation.

Pharaoh was absorbing the World essence in a greedy way and soon he could feel that he was full and he could not absorb any more World essence. When he directed it to his dantian and currently his dantian was full. He got up and went out of his room to find his maid servant Mary waiting for him.

"Prepare a hot bath for me."

"It has already been prepared."

"Also bring my food to my room and tell father and mother that I will not be going up see then for the whole week. Inform them that I want to raise my strength even by a tiny bit before we set off in so days."

"Yes."

"That will be all."

"Yes."

She nodded then began to walk away to do what she was told. Meanwhile Pharaoh was starring at her behind looking at her perky buttocks that were bouncing up and down. Pharaoh could feel that his body was turning hot as if there was a fierce beast inside him that would just jump out and grab marry and pin her down. Pharaoh shook his head and then broke out of what seemed to be hypnotisim , he quickly turned around and headed to take a bath.

(What's wrong with me?)

Pharaoh was confused as to what was happening to him because Mary has been his maid servant for a long time and he never had any of these thoughts so what was happening was definitely a first for him. He wasn't clueless about what went down between man and woman but he never entertained these thoughts. Quickly putting these thoughts at the back of his head . He took his bath and went back to his room and found his food placed on top of a small table next to his bed.

Mary was standing next to the door waiting for Pharaoh as usual but to Pharaoh seeing her was like a torment but he was strong willed and he quickly entered his room ate his food. Finishing eating his food he went out to train his martial arts and weapons play and after that he went and continued with his biology research and his experiments.

This continued for the next six days and Pharaoh was not the only one training himself in a frenzy to try and increase a bit of their strength. This schedule of the youths satisfied their parents and family elders. Jack focused on increase his strength and training his sword. Others would increase their strength and martial arts but whatever they did the sixth day finally came and they were all called to the training square.
