Jing Yue wasn't there with them since she wanted to give the mother and son alone time that was why she didn't know what was happening at that moment.

Little Melon stood up, he was confused and hurt. The mother he loved so much was looking at him with eyes full of hate but since he was just a child, he could only think that his mother was angry at him.

"Momma... mommaaa... Please don't be mad to Mello... Mello is a good boy.... momma..." Little Melon tried to approach her again but Xia Meilin raised her hand and was about to slap him away although she was stopped when her wrist was grabbed firmly.

When she turned her head, she saw Lu Yifeng looking at her coldly.

Xia Meilin instantly became afraid when she saw him. She shrank back, away from him.

"I... I..." She stuttered.

Lu Yifeng turned to Little Melon's nanny who followed him inside earlier, "Bring him back to my mother."

"No! Mello wants to be with momma!" Little Melon started crying as he hurriedly went and hugged Xia Meilin's leg.

Xia Meilin was about to push her son again since she didn't want to be touched by him but when she felt Lu Yifeng's hold on her wrist tightened, she stayed still on her ground.

"Your mother is sick right now so you can't be with her." Lu Yifeng said with a blank look on his face.

Little Melon shook his head, he wanted to stay with his mother. He looked up at his mother anxiously as he cried, "Momma! Mello doesn't want to go back! Mello wants to be with momma!"

Seeing how Lu Yifeng looked at her, Xia Meilin turned to Little Melon. Her eyes were cold as she stared at her son, "Listen to him. I am sick. You can come back once I get well."

Little Melon sniffled as he believed her words. "R-really?"

Xia Meilin felt a pang of pain in her chest when she saw Little Melon's crying face. She was still his mother. Before she started hating Little Melon because of his looks, she loved him so much since he was her son.

Seeing how the look on Xia Meilin's face changed, Lu Yifeng released her wrist.

The moment she was released, she bent down and hugged her son as her tears roll down her cheeks. Why did she start hating her son? Little Melon missed his mother's warm hug that's why when she hugged him, he started crying out loud again.

After Xia Meilin convinced Little Melon to go back with Jing Yue, she was left with Lu Yifeng.

Xia Meilin was afraid that her emotions would go out of control again and that she might hurt Little Melon again. She didn't want that to happen again that's why she didn't stop him from going.

She entered her room... which was Lu Yifeng's room as well. She saw Lu Yifeng sitting on his bed while he was reading a book.

When he noticed her presence, he closed his book and looked at her. He patted the space beside him. "Come here."

Xia Meilin hesitated at first. Despite not wanting to come close to him, she went and sat beside him. She was afraid that he might get angry and punish her again.

"I will give you permission to go out of the house."

She shot up her head to him as her face finally showed emotion.

When Lu Yifeng saw the spark in her eyes, for some reason it made his chest tighten. Was she eager to get out of this place?

"But you always need to bring someone with you," added he with a serious look on his face.

It didn't matter to her if she was going to have someone follow her 24/7. What mattered to her was that getting out of the mansion that's why she nodded her head as a response.

Lu Yifeng has already fallen for Xia Meilin and because of the love he has for her, he couldn't help but be possessive of her. He wanted to have her all and make her his that's why to do that, to let her know that she could only be his, he forced her every night.

Lu Yifeng watched as her eyes twinkled like stars. Seeing them that way made him feel bitter since she never looked at him that way. He went off the bed and left the room without saying a thing.

He entered his study and opened his laptop. On the laptop, he watched Xia Meilin's every move.

"Ning-ge... I finally found a chance to leave this place.," said she with a hopeful smile.

Lu Yifeng's eyes darkened when he heard her words. Was she planning something with that man who was trying to pursue her? The room's temperature went down as he watched Xia Meilin converse with Feng Ning.

He took his phone and called Lu Xian Yu. "I'm going to ask a request from you."
