[One hour and a half later…]

Jackson's worry about Elijah wasn't a mere joke. He truly valued that young man's impression of him. After all, he liked him and he didn't want to disappoint him. But he didn't have the heart to leave Fil when she was a wreck. 

'Here goes to hoping my brother-in-law understands.' 

Jackson knocked on the door, telling Elijah it was him. All he heard from the inside was, "It's opened." 

Deep lines appeared between Jackson's brows, opening the suite and stepping inside. As soon as he did, he saw Elijah playing busily in the living area.

"Hah." Jackson huffed. "Does this mean I do not have to make any lengthy explanation?"

Elijah tilted his body from one side to the other while playing video games. "My sister," he said. "She bothered you, didn't she?"
