1 PROLOGUE

The sunset starts to set over the horizon creating a spectacular view of the sea and the indigo colour surrounding the city appear peaceful with the cold breeze of the salty smell ocean spread across the city and beyond.

On the seaside of the Sepanggar Bay, a man standing alone staring blankly at the vast sea. Whatever his burden of the world, he unaware of his surrounding at all. He frowning & sighing over and over again ever since he arrived starts to attract the onlookers and several visitors of the beautiful Bay. Some purely concerned with him, some were fascinated with his handsome looks. Some even take a chance to flirt with the man. He ignored all of them. As they're disappointed with his unresponsive mood, they decided to leave him alone.

Today marks an important day for him and it has changed his entire life. He has to make a decision soon or he'll lose the person he mostly missed for the past six months ago. There even be possible for him to go back in empty-handed. He turned to his left finally aware a familiar man approaching.

"Thank you for seeing me today, sir." The young man shakes hands with the newcomer. He looks old but not without wisdom. The fine lines all over his face only indicate his hard life since young. The newcomer nodded with troubled, unfriendly gestures. He remembers the old man a few hours before, looking warm & friendly at the hospital. The young man gulped hard on his misbehaviour earlier.

"Likewise, Mr Yamaguchi. We haven't been properly introduced. Let me introduce myself, I'm Alendish George. Ally Grace's father so to speak." They exchanged shake hands. "People normally called me Uncle Allen. Or just Allen."

"As a good father to my daughter and a good husband to my wife, I am not supposed to see nor chat with you, Mr Yamaguchi." the older man's voice almost swallowed down by the ocean waves hitting the beach. The was an obvious tense moment for them. The young man didn't dare to argue with him. "After what you said in there." another huge wave hit the beach. "But, I want to believe in what I saw in there when you both are together, I can see the love in my daughter's eyes."

"I'm sorry."

"I don't want to hear you apologizing to me. I want to hear the reasons."

"I know I hurt her feelings with my words. It was out of control. But, I had my reasons for saying what I said," The other man replied. "I had made up my mind, Mr Alendish. I'll marry her and cherish her always, with my newborns."

The older man shook his head, looking up at the tall young man beside him with the regretful look on his face. "Not going to happen, son."

"What do you mean?"

"Ally told me to tell you to go back. You're not welcome here."

Silent. As if he expected the response from the woman he loves. After such an insult being thrown to her face like that, he doesn't deserve to get a pardon.

"I'll go see her & propose to her." The old man sigh heavily.

"Walk with me, my son. You know it was not that simple," the older man throws a look at him. "I know my daughter. She's a strong woman. She won't give up on those innocents lives. It was pity enough & heartbroken for her, one of the triplets died. Why you even suggest the impossible?"

"..." Kunihiko troubled look confused him.

"The last time we almost lost her, she nearly killed herself over the grief of her passing son, Angelo. Do you want to kill her with your own hands, only can you return home?"

"..." Kunihiko silently listen to his every words.

"We love our daughter so much and we always there for her. Whatever she did wrong or right, we hope to be her pillar but nevertheless we hopelessly watch her stand tall despite the struggle through her life. I admire her spirit and enthusiasm towards life surprised me. I won't let you ruin it for her."

"...." His anxious feelings add up to more worries as he listen to Allen antentively.

"You almost destroy her with your stupidity and jealousy." The old man sigh. "I do thank you for those beautiful babies though. When she found out that she was with child, she was over the moon until you throw her away for another woman. How can I believe you can make my daughter happy."

"Let me protect them. I promised I won't let them down. I'll devote my life for their happiness."

"Hehe.." Allandish chuckled at his last words. "You're barking at the wrong tree, my son. It is not me that you need to convince. You can't simply say a promise that you can't kept. Only by showing it, makes it work will be your only chance of getting her trust again."

"I'll do just that."

Allen shook his head. "No can do. I won't allow you to disturb the mother and the newborns resting for a while. Maybe in the mean time, you can highlight to me how you get yourself involved with an older woman, that is."

Kunihiko smiled at his gonna be father in law soon. He presumed all the worries had been lifted momentarily. He really hopes so too or his newborns might be the cause of Ally death very soon. At first, he was horrified with the news about unknown twin and later another baby making it triplets. It maybe makes him the heartless man or husband or father to feel relieved with the death of their own child but he has his own reasons and he need to inform his soon to be father in law as soon as possible. They need to seal off the story of the death third baby.

Is he making a good decision to reconciliation with his lover and the children she carried with her? He wonder himself how he originally crosspath with Ally in the first place. What kind of love chemistry they has or is it only lust to begin with?
