1 I, who shall awaken...

'This is promising' A three-headed golden wyvern thought with a chuckle.

Surrounding this dragon is a large forest and before him is a small creak that runs through it. When this dragon first awoke it was confused. After all, before today he was a normal human who could only dream of what he has become now.

Making him awe-struck when he looked at his reflection in the water and was met with three pairs of blood-red eyes with flakes of gold held within. Allowing him to quickly realize what has happened to him and who he now is.

A reincarnation. That is the only word that can describe his situation. He died and now he is none other than King Ghidorah himself. The arch-rival of Godzilla, the King of the Monsters, and an extraterrestrial demon who terrorizes worlds for fun.

Yet, looking at his size, this new Ghidorah has a long way to go before he can perform similar feats. Only reaching up to 5 meters tall when he spreads out his winged arms. A far cry from even the smallest iteration of Ghidorah, Cretaceous King Ghidorah, who stands at a height of 40 meters.

This didn't bother Ghidorah too much. He is currently a child and has a long time to grow. Not that he is not going to put in an effort to reach that power and beyond, though.

Moving his heads around he still found it immensely interesting even after doing this for the past few minutes. Going from being able to only see what was in front of him to now being able to see in three different directions is trippy. Especially when he now has three brains as well.

'No alternate personalities.' Ghidorah thought in relief. Counting his blessings that he would not have to deal with a child-like version of himself.

Then he opened the mouth of his middle head as he let out thrill-like roars. Then repeating this action a few times as he got used to the new vocal cords with all of his heads. However, simple roars are not what Ghirdorah sought.

And after many trials and tests, he finally developed his new voice. "Ah, this is it. A bit deeper than I thought it would be but it is of little consequence." The newly vocal Ghidorah proclaimed as his rich and menacing voice resounded throughout the clearing.

After some time, he decided that he had spent enough time admiring his new form and he began his trek through the forest. Looking like an overgrown horse as he used his winged arms and legs to bolt across the woods at an increasingly fast speed as he got more and more accommodated to his new body. Not taking flight as he was weary of the predators that might be in the sky.

Eventually, he run into a group of humans when he was traversing through the trees. His left head locked onto them as his middle continued to look forward and make sure he could see the branches he was grabbing.

The group is made up of a bulky blond-haired man with a broad sword strapped to his back, another man on the leaner side with a short sword and black hair, then finally a woman wearing a black cloak with long red hair. Each of them is unaware of the wyvern following them. Its red eyes gleaming in the night.

But that did not last long. The blond-haired man began looking left and right in a panic. His instincts as a warrior kicked in as he searched for the unseen foe. His comrades did not take long to catch on to his movements and called out to him.

"What is it, Tommen? I do not sense anything." The smaller man questioned as he glanced at the mage of the group, Irene, who shook her head. Signifying that she could not either.

"That's the thing, Eddard, I don't either." The brawler admitted. "But I know something is there, watching us in the shadows."

The two exchanged looks before nodding. Irene pulled out a book with various runic marks over it as she flipped through the pages. Seeing this, Ghidorah knew that it wouldn't be long before they figure out his position but did not know what to do.

'Following them was a mistake.' Ghidorah realized.

He trailed them thinking that they would lead him to an outpost or something of the like but that would never work. In the excitement of seeing his old race, he forgot that he was no longer among them. Now because of this folly, he will have to kill them. He cannot risk them informing others of his presence when he is not ready to protect himself.

Steading himself, he opened up his mouths and aimed his heads at the three humans. Trying for the first time to use the original's infamous gravity beams but all he got was a few sparks from his efforts. Which drawled the attention of the adventures.

On instinct, the witch turned on her heel and fired a spell at where she heard the strange sound. A beam of light was sent through the air towards the target but missed as a large beast jumped out of the even larger trees as it landed on the path they had walked not moments ago.

Whatever they were expecting was not this.

" A wyvern..." Irene voiced her shock. Not at him being a wyvern, though.

"... with three heads." Tommen finished as he pulled out his sword. "Have any of you ever seen one with three heads?" he called out in question.

"Nah, not even folklore or anything like that. This thing is unique." Eddard responded as he pointed his sword toward the beast. Ready to cut it down at a moment's notice.

The wyvern before them looked apprehensive. Which was to be expected. It's size indicates that it is young. Far too young to gain any true battle experience. This couldn't be more true for Ghidorah as he still can't figure out why his breath didn't work.

Leaving him with only his highly dangerous body to combat this trio. Something that caused his blood to boil with anticipation. The instincts that all dragons have took full effect as all wariness left his body and was replaced with malice and hate.

The original owner of this body had left its mark as he felt disgusted at him being weak enough that three humans could put up a challenge against him, a world-ending monster. Yet, his will was not so weak that he would succumb to the pride of a dead man.

He does not have the liberty to be prideful now. Not when his abilities are still foreign and unusable for the moment. Hopefully, that will not last long. The prospect of gaining power caused Ghidorah to let out a viscous grin on all three of his faces.

This unnerved the three adventurers but they did not have time to comment on it as Ghidorah rushed at them. Seeing this, Tommen did the same as he jumped into the air and swung his sword down toward the wyvern.

His superhuman speed and strength are showcased as Ghidorah barely dodges his strike as it continues toward the ground. Splintering it from the pure force behind it. His skin glowed a green hue as he used magic to empower himself.

Taking note of this, Ghidorah moves his head out of the way as Eddard's blade flies through the air. Then, with one of his spiked tails, Ghidorah swats him away as he goes crashing into a tree to his right. Yet, this did not kill the human as he got up with some difficulty. With multiple wounds lining his body.

Grinding his teeth, Ghidroah took flight as he avoided a volley of fireballs sent by Irene. And while enjoying the experience, he soon landed beside Eddard to finish him off. But the human was not done as he powered himself up and slashed at Ghidorah in quick succession.

Making the dragon back up to avoid them but Tommen would not allow it as he appeared behind Ghidorah with his own attack. Which was blocked by Ghidorah's tail but the onslaught did not stop as Irene pressured him with her magic.

'Fuck it. Pain makes gain or something like that.' Ghidorah thought as he allowed the light beams to hit him. Grimacing at the pain, Ghidorah's left head snapped forward and bit down on Eddard.

Causing the man to yell out in pain and try and use his sword to stab the beast. Only for Ghidroah's right head to clamp down on his arm and make that effort useless. Then, something unexpected happened.

Ghidorah felt what could only be described as a need to devour this human. His snake-like necks glowed golden as he began taking everything from Eddard. His magic and life force were siphoned from him as Ghidorah started to release his own unique aura.

'I see! That is why I couldn't do it!' Ghidorah realized as he felt the energy empower him and enter his formerly empty core.

"What the hell!?" Tommen bellowed as he watched his friend shrivel up. "Stop!" He commanded as he stabbed his sword into Ghidorah's side.

Causing Ghidorah to roar out in pain as he released Eddard but by then the man was nothing but bones. Turning his attention toward the other humans, Ghidorah smacked Tommen away with his tail. Making the human release his sword as landed by Irene who was still watching in shock and horror.

Then before their very eyes, they watched as Tommen's sword was pushed out of Ghidorah's body as he regenerated all of his wounds. His newfound power seeping into them and restoring them. Which Ghidorah took great satisfaction in as his three heads watched intently. Hell, he even grew a few feet.

Afterward, the three-headed dragon turned its attention toward them with malevolent smirks. Something similar to lightning crackled along his jaws as his middle head opened his mouth. Knowing what came next, Tommen hastily shook the woman.

"Get your head on straight! He is about to release his breath attack!" Tommen exclaimed. Having seen countless wyverns use their formidable fire breath.

Snapping out of it, Irene cast every barrier she knew of as she maintained her frightened look. Having realized the horrible potential of the beast before her. Even if he seems unable to generate his own power.

The barriers enclosed around them not a second too late as Ghidorah unleashed his formally infamous gravity beam. The lightning-like energy reached the barrier in a second as it tore away at it. Yet, the barrier withstood the attack. Only for Ghidorah to send two more from his other heads.

Pushing the humans back as Irene could no longer hold the barrier. Causing her to wither in agony as the energy made contact with her and fried her. The last thought that crossed her mind was about how screwed this world is if this 'thing' was allowed to continue.

Unlike her, Tommen would not die. "Damn it all! Damn you!" He yelled once again as he held out his left hand. "Manifest yourself, Twice Critical!" On command, a grey gauntlet appeared on his hand as his power doubled.

This caused Ghidorah to widen his eyes. 'A sacred gear? Then this is the world of Draconic Deus.' He concluded. Both pleased and thrilled at this revelation.

The powered-up Tommen stared at the wyvern with rage. His friends are dead and he will be damned if he doesn't avenge them. Blitzing forward, he appeared before Ghidorah as he swung his left fist down toward the beast. Who blocked by bringing both of his tails together in an x formation.

Yet, this was only the beginning as he jumped away and grabbed his sword before charging again. Unleashing a series of slashes and cleaves as he used all of his might to slay the dragon. Some of his attacks were deflected or blocked but any damage he delivered was quickly healed.

This could only last long, however. His sacred gear tearing away at his endurance did not help either. Making him slower and slower until when he sliced Ghidroah on his right neck, he was unable to retreat quick enough as the middle head bit into him electricity coating his jaws.

Paralyzing him before draining him of all of his power as Ghidorah grew even bigger. Standing at the height of 6ms and more hungry than ever. His new desires had been brought out by this fight as his once-human soul became more and more like that of a dragon.

"I can understand why the original devoured worlds," Ghidorah remarked as he stretched his winged limbs and took off in search of more power. The unquenchable thirst that he would later be known for showing in full.

"Just like him, I am starving."
