The Demon Twins

"I've heard the rumors but you two truly look nothing alike." "Does it matter?" "I suppose not, kill me off then." "It's my turn, Louis." "Get on with it then." With a loud laugh, the giant man brought down his hammer. With a squelching sound, a head was ground to a paste. This story centers around twins, starting off from their youth they go through a gradual progress in getting stronger. The stronger they become, however, they realize more and more that they will never get peace. *** Disclaimer: Firstly, this is my first long novel. This story will be slow, hopefully, I can do proper world-building. Power progression also won't be all too fast. I have no editor, so grammar might be off at some places. Hopefully, you'll enjoy reading it.

Chapter 13

"Your teacher said that? What's his name, he can't possibly be right in the head to get the noblemen's children to fight constantly," Damian exclaimed. "His name is Jack, we call him cane man," Arthur said while laughing to himself. "Who's we?" Louis asked, genuinely confused. "Tsk tsk, it's because you're not close with the other kids." "You're not close with the other kids you idiot, you're just eavesdropping," Louis replied shaking his head.

"Oh if it's Jack, then I guess that's what that crazy guy would do," John said while walking towards the trio. "Yes, of course the idiot brothers would understand one another," Damian said scoffing. "Dammit old man, we're not the idiot brothers. We're individual idiots, don't lump me up with Jack," John said before being sent reeling after having a hand chop his head.

"Jack recently came back from the army after being stuck as a second lieutenant for a long time. That ungrateful idiot didn't come to the barracks once after finding another job," Damian growled. "Anyways, you two, pick out any weapon you want from the stands there. We're going to do weapons training."

Arthur and Louis both stood in front of the weapon stands for a long time before Arthur mumbled out, "I don't know what to use.." "Same here"

"Well, I guess we can just use them one by one," Damian said while scratching his head. "I recommend a long weapon to you Louis, and Arthur should use something that would let you dual wield."

"Why's that," the twins asked in conjunction.

"You two already have something similar to a fighting style, although it's a very rough version of one. I suppose you two should know what fighting styles are first. Jack since you're trying to skip training, come here." Jack, who had been watching on the sides loafing around, paled.

"I believe there are two wide schools when it comes to fighting styles," Damian reached out to the weapons stands. Throwing a longsword to Jack and pulling out two maces for himself Damian got into a stance. "Instinctual fighting," tying his hair up into a bun, "and calculated fighting."

"I for one, tread the path of an instinctual fighter, making plans in the moment while Jack has the makings for a calculating fighter, although he still isn't all too good. Now let's start Jack." Watching Jack get into his own opening stance reluctantly Damian suddenly roared.
