The Magic Space

Standing in front of the mirror, I survey my appearance a little more. It was strange to inherit the memories of the previous owner of this body; she was a kind and polite girl.

She'd suffered a great deal, both of her, and rather my parents were killed. They'd been slaughtered in a bloodied battle, at the hands of an unknown assailant. But it was obvious that there was some resentment, my mother was of the fairy folk, while my father was a Beast Kin.

That might explain the ancient magic language that's written underneath of my eyes, I don't know a lot about the Fairy Folk since they are a secretive race. There isn't much about them, I'd only ever run across one of them in my last life and they hadn't stayed to chat long.

Sighing, I run a hand down my arm, this was a strange body I'd been born into, but one that would have a lot of potentials it seems.

I did know that it was very uncommon for the fairy folk to marry outside of their race, but it seems that my Mother and Father loved each other dearly. From my memories, it seems that they cherished their only daughter as well.

However, happiness wasn't mean for me in the end, they were killed three years ago and I am only five. For the past two years, I've been living with my Father's family. Those two years have been living and waking hell it seems.

Being the only child of my Father I was next in line for the Morninghelm family's head. My grandfather had only one son, and since in the Beast Kin, follows the rule of succession through the father.

Because I was my father's only child, I was to inherit the family, it didn't matter that I was a woman as long as I was my father's child. Then if I was to give birth to a boy, he'd be the next head and it would zig zag in that manner.

Other than my Father, my Grandfather had three other children all of the girls, each of them carried away. However, my father's oldest sister, Mora, was obsessed with being the family head and when my parents were killed, she'd gladly offered to raise me in their place.

What a joke that was… she'd used this opportunity to separate me from my Grandfather and abuse me. She and her children did love abusing me. It wouldn't be a far stretch to believe that she was the one that had sought to kill me.

Then there was the other sister, the middle one, Lyrissa. She wasn't any better than her older sister. She might not openly abuse me, but she's not been kind either.

The only member of my family, other than my Grandfather that seemed to care for me was the youngest sister. Miranda, she was rarely around she'd married into a good family and was normally at that estate.

The few reprieves I'd gotten from the abusive family had been when she visited me. However, then my aunts had dressed me up nicely and paraded me around as if I was a loved child, which wasn't the case.

However, being only a small child, I didn't dare to step up and speak out to my aunt who would surely help me.

But that wasn't the case anymore, these wretched aunts of mine had indeed conspired to kill me. They'd indeed succeeded in killing the original owner of this body, but now they'd have to deal with me, and I wasn't a child that they'd be able to bully.

I wouldn't allow this bullying to go unpunished, they'd soon get a taste of their own medicine. I'd clean the family out if I had to, and I wouldn't be merciful, they'd bullied and murdered a child, that shall not go unpunished.

Now, what is the state of the girl's spirits veins, as if triggering something a memory appears. Along with violent pain, I almost double over.

My whole body aches as I relive the memory, a shudder passing through my body.

It appears that the situation was far worse than my cursory glance at the memories had led me to believe. She'd been attacked an in the process, her spirit veins had been mutilated.

Rendering her 'trash,' I click my tongue in disdain. This wasn't my day, was it?

All of a sudden a dinging sound rings in my head.

[Upgrade completed would host like to enter the magical space?] The mechanical voice sounds.

A magic space…

"Yes," I say softly and all of a sudden my body felt like a great force was tugging at it. And soon the landscape around me twisted and changes right before my eyes.

Next thing I know I'm standing on a giant road. All around me was a grassy plain, and rows and rows of plants. Taking a few tentative steps forward I reach a row of plants.

Before me are glistening flowers that glow a vibrant blue and have the soft smell of fire. This couldn't be the [firelight water lilies], these are extremely hard to cultivate and are valuable medicinal herbs.

Looking up from the plant, I felt my throat close there was a whole hectare of the plants in front of me. Beyond that, I spotted more and more medicinal herbs.

I could see [rose of the ten infernal hells], [bamboo of the seven howling forests], and I caught sight of a [ten thousand-year-old demon fruit trees]. There were too many rare plants in this place, enough to make me wonder just who's had created this place.

Just what in the world had I obtained through my death?

There were more, I could see field after field of plants. This was enough to start a large magic school and nurture a countless number of generations of students.

"I see that you understand the wealth of this land," a voice echo's softly from behind me. I turn my head and I find a beautiful woman standing behind me.

Her face is exquisite as if it was carved from jade, a lazy smile hung on her soft pink lips as she looks at me. Her enchanting golden eyes are half-lidded as she stares at me, surveying me with her eyes.

I shudder a little, it was like she could see into my soul. I notice behind her rest a huge tower, that made out of black stone and glistens with magic around it.

"It's a magnificent magic space, I dare not guess just how large it is. But now, who are you exactly?" I ask this woman that appeared.

I notice that she dressed in a beautiful red gown, that flutters around her feet, a delicate red horn rest right in-between her eyebrows. Inky black hair spills around her shoulders and down her back.

She takes a few steps towards me and each is graceful like a dancer. Black jewelry adorns her body, giving her a sinful feeling.

"How about you call me teacher," she says with a smile as she stops right in front of me. I have to take a few steps back so that we can make even eye contact. This child physic was having its drawbacks already.

I give her another glance, before, I decided to give her a small bow.

"Teacher, are you apart of the Demon Queen System?" I ask her.

A light musical laugh leaves her mouth as she reaches out a hand to me, I take it and she draws me closer to her. Without breaking motion, she moves into a small squatting position, so our eyes are level.

Her beautiful face was now mere inches from my own, a pleasant smell wafts up from her body and her golden eyes are now turned up in a smile.

"I am. However, I'm the main core of the system, something that is only activated when the host of the system rejects the normal system settings. I only come out when one rejects to become the wife of the Demon King. I become the teacher of those that wish to surpass the Demon King and conquer the world," she says as her body releases a thick bloody aura.

Black chaos begins to swirl around her body, making all the hair on my body stand up. My body was telling my mind that we needed to escape, but I wasn't intimidated by this woman.

Soon she retracts her bloody aura and the chaos dissipates around her. She still has a delightful smile on her face.

"Then what exactly does this system entail?" I ask her.

She stands up straighter while still holding my hand.

"This system is meant to nurture you into a supreme being, the Demon King and Queen that are existences that rival that laughable Great God. This body that we've procured for you is almost perfect. Beast kin because of their bloodline are the strongest race in terms of a physical body, however, they're also a race that is prohibited in the later stage of their growth. Which depends purely on which bloodline they are," she explains softly.

All of this information was common knowledge, but I listened anyway.

"Yet, you are also a child born of the fairy folk, the most offspring birthed from the Great Goddess that has died. This has resulted in you having a body that is both sturdy and adapted for magic," she says gleefully.

"Now what the system can offer is magical artifacts, an abundance of medical herbs, and I can even allow you to obtain more than one bloodline. There are other benefits, but these are the ones that are the most valuable to you at this moment," she tells me with a devious smile.

I ponder what she says for a moment.

"That means that you can also fix the mutilated spirit veins in my body, they've been damaged, and I've been treated as trash ever since," I tell her softly.

She reaches out with her free hand and places it on my forehead, and I feel a warm feeling envelope my body. But quickly the feeling turns into burning and I yank my head away.

A cold sweat covering my body.

"They're very damaged, this will take a little time to fix, but it is doable," she says as she looks down at her hand that's a little black now. However, it quickly heals itself.

"I'll start collecting the right herbs and we can begin treatment immediately," she says nodding her head.

"On the matter of the magic, I've reached the tenth tier of magic in my previous life," I tell her with a pointed look.

A dark smile passes onto her face.

"You were a very dazzling human in your previous life; however, your talents were in beast taming, right?" She asks tilting her head to the side.

I grit my teeth at the mention of that. Almost all of my contract beast had been murdered by that man, he'd betrayed me completely. The mere thought of him caused a boiling rage to start in my stomach.

"Well nonetheless, you've barely scratched the real magic, that I can teach you. The fundamentals that you were taught before weren't wrong but they're ineffective. I'll teach you the magic that at the first tier, you'll be able to beat fifth tiered mages with ease," she scoffs haughtily.

I felt a little conflicted about the system that I've obtained. It was designed to bring about the resurrection of a Demon Queen, that which threatened the order of the One Great God.

"Shall I send you off, you don't want to stay here too long, wouldn't want anyone worrying about you," she says.

"Very well," I sigh rubbing a hand over my face.

"Then I'll send you off," her golden eyes begin to glow.

"Before you do that, what year is it?" If I'd been reincarnated that meant that I could be in the same timeline as before my death.

"The year is 2457 of that infernal Great God," she replies as she sends me off from the space.

I arrive right back in front of the mirror in my room as if nothing had happened. Looking at the mirror in front of me, my face was twisted into a dark grin. The soft-looking features of my five-year-old face were replaced with the eyes of a madwoman.

I'd only been reincarnated twenty years later, that meant that he was still alive. If he didn't die twenty years earlier that meant that I could get my revenge. I'd get my revenge on him and that woman after I achieved revenge for Cloud!
