Letter

It's been a month since that happened. Cassandra almost fell off the cliff while escaping from the Ghost winged monster. She looked back and saw their flaring eyes looking at her.

She reached the top of the mountain and tried to catch her breath. She never got to take a rest because they have been chasing her for almost two days now.

The ghost looks like an old spirit that has bat-like wings with glowing red eyes.

They kept on chasing her and never stopped.

She tried to fight back, but there were too many, so all she had to do was run. She only survived this long because of the skill stealth she uses after her mana regenerates. But after all that for some reason, she didn't inherit any trait of her father, only the eye, so she is stuck with a human body even if she's not really a human.

Everything started to hurt. Her leg, her head, her body, and the bruises in her arm and legs were tingling in pain.

Cassandra felt like giving up but she didn't want to, for all this time all she did was run so breathless p she came this far to survive. Why does she have to die now again?

The blood flowed in her eyes, nose, and ears. A few days ago, when she was running away, one curse of the old ghosts caught her.

"kekekeke she's slowing down," the old ghost said.

"I will be the first that gonna caught her." said the other one as they speed up their movement

"no, I will." said the other one as she grabs their companion's wings and throws her at the back. While they are arguing, Cassandra thought that this is her chance to escape again "skill stealth" then she vanishes she took that chance to hide under the root of the trees.

The ghost passed by her "Look what u did!" complain the ghost

"don't worry, she will never get that far" as they laugh while searching for her.

After a while, she realized that they were long gone by now and slowly got out of her hiding spot. She felt so relieved that she got away that what she thought after one of the ghosts spotted her "There u are little girl," the ghost said creepily..

"Shit!" she mumbled. There she ran again.

She just closed her eyes, wishing that they won't catch up.

In the distance, there's a light that glows in the dark forest. She ran in that direction and didn't think that there was a trap or something dangerous ahead. She just keeps on running until she bumps into something more like someone but she doesn't have time to react because everything went blurry again, and she fainted, although she heard some words before she lost consciousness.

"Why is there a kid in the forest of mist," a male voice said.
