Her desire to protect, her source of strength

Amania looked delightful and hopeful. Wish wondered what she had experienced for her to have this strong mental power despite her weak body. Amania looked at wish ,all she could see is a cloudy shadow.

" You…who are you exactly? Can you tell me?"

"oh I forgot to introduce myself, my name is wish, you might have heard about me, the princess of the demon empire".

"WHAT!!!" Amania looked at wish incredulously.

"I can understand you're surprised, but there's no need for such a reaction, what ?have you never seen a demon before? Or do you discriminate against us? Don't get offended, but I still feel I'll need to get the answer lest it affects our cooperation. "

'surprised? More like shocked…who would have thought I would have an encounter with the famous princess of the demons 'Amania thought.

"no, no ..I don't discriminate against demons or anyone. I just didn't expect that's all. Also you're quite different from what I heard of.."

"oh? That's interesting, what have they been describing about me? Let me guess…probably nothing good right? "

"I heard you're very bloodthirsty and had terrifying powers, that you also had a terrible personality…but now I understand it's all made up " Amania smiles. Although this princess was somewhat arrogant in the start, she was quick to realize it ,and apologize sincerely. Even people with just a bit of magic thought themselves as superior. While demons have demonic power, humans too have similar powers called magic.

A child at the age of 5 to 7 would get tested in the imperial research academy to know if he/she had the ability to become a magician. The potential testing mirror inside the imperial research academy will show who had greater potential and their attributes like fire,wind,ice,water,light,dark.While people with high potential and high attributes becomes a magician, people with high potential whereas low attributes will become a swordsman. While most of the swordsman join the imperial army, others prefer to work on their own. They are categorized according to ranks from 1 to 10,where a rank 1 swordsman being very powerful, both in physical and mental strength to a rank 10 swordsman, weakest amongst the ranks of swordsman. They are only strong compared to a normal person without any abilities.

However most of the people start from being a rank 10 swordsman and rank up to higher ranks till they reach bottleneck. Only few are able to pass through the bottleneck stage. But there are few people who start from rank 9,8,7 some even 5.These people are called genius amongst others. Likewise magicians also rank from 1 to 10.whereas rank 1 being the strongest and rank 10 being the weakest. A rank 1 magician is sought after throughout the world because they are very powerful like high level demons, though throughout the world only few managed to become one.

Precisely because of that they are given the best privileges and resources and held with respect. The main reason is that they are crucial for war. The humans and the demons have been at war for ages. The demons have been categorized as royalty, high level demons ,middle level demons, humanoid demons and low level demonic creatures. One other category is half-demons ,they are born from a human and a demon. They reside both in human empire as well as the demons. Their situation is not favorable because they are prone to discrimination. War really attracts hatred of many ,whether they are demons or humans.

The blood line of royalty is very powerful, though they don't usually participate in wars unless necessary. The situation in demon empire is complicated because of the lack of enthusiasm from the royals to engage themselves in war. A lot of nobles have long been dissatisfied but unable to do anything because of their terrifying powers. These nobles along with some half-demons are very resolute in joining wars. They believe they are superior to humans and can't digest the fact humans are trying to engaging themselves in war against the demons. They underestimated the humans till they suffered huge losses. From then onwards both sides have been at wars for ages.

"these people are petty, aren't they? Which of their eyes saw me being bloodthirsty and having a terrible personality? Less to say only a handful of humans ever saw me.Anyways I don't care what they think about me. "

"My turn then, I'm Amania Louis, the fifth daughter of Duke Albert Louis born from his 3rd wife Sofia Albert Louis. I have a little sister called lyne Louis. My situation at home is not very favorable, I'm learning magic at Imperial magic academy to become a capable magician to protect my mother and my sister as well as my 3rd brother born from my father's second wife Rebecca Albert Louis, Emilio Louis . Although he has a blood related brother called Oliver Louis, both him and his mother don't treat Emilio well because of his low potential to become a magician. So even though we are half brothers and half sisters, our sibling relationship is more solid than his own blood related ones. I know one cannot survive in this cruel world where strong tramples the weak ,that's why I want to become stronger.

My mother is just my father's 3rd wife, and she doesn't even have much family background or anything considered worthy in her ,like powers or abilities. You can imagine how she was treated in the Duke's manor. It became worse after me and my sister got tested as having average potential. Although I'm admitted to the imperial magic academy, I don't have much privileges such as attending a rank 4 or 3 magician's classes or access to central part of the library, where they keep valuable books. I have been struggling hard in studying the books kept for students without privileges and attending lectures of professors below rank 4,but there is a huge difference in my progress compared to the privileged ones. Well just when I'm at loss thinking what should I do?, I suddenly found a soul with immense amount of power inside me. So I decided to take the chance".

Wish was suddenly speechless. She cannot relate to how Amania felt at all. Because unlike humans the royals and high level demon nobles never had more than one partner, never from the history till now. It is because they are too possessive and obsessed with their partner. Once they love someone, they cannot love any other person like that. This hardcore loyalty runs through their veins. It is also why they are strong and United. Thinking about it now, it seemed she really lived a life of luxury. After talking with Amania, wish realized that everything she'd taken for granted is priceless, though never once had she appreciated the good things she had on life. She always felt confident and thought she had vast amount of wisdom, but now she understood it, it was just her naïve thoughts and wishful thinking.

She understood she had to change the way she viewed life. She felt grateful to Amania though she did nothing, just seeing her determination and source of strength was enough for wish to understand a lot of things, she decided to make Amania a strong magician nobody will ever dare to look down.
