Kai bought Li Yifeng to a small house where she left her brother. Li Yifeng's eyes were still stinging and could barely see. Kai removed the goggles she is wearing and said " Feng, stay still!". She took out a green potion and applied it to his eyes. The pain in his eyes decreased greatly and after a few seconds, he could see again.
"What the hell was that red smoke?!" Asked Li Yifeng while rubbing his eyes.
"I would tell you about later. Now, you should escape from the city while that spear hero is still affected by the Blinding Smoke Bomb," Kai spoke as she tapped on the wooden floor and a hidden door opened.
"Huh? Why is there a hidden door here?" Li Yifeng couldn't help but ask.
"We, Thieves are a community that helps each other. In big cities, Thieves have Underground tunnels that lead to outside the city. The Golden Horn City is one of those cites," Kai gestured to Li Yifeng to enter through the hidden door.
Li Yifeng was speechless as he looked at Kai. "Why did you help me?".
"Because you helped me in saving my brother. And I don't think that you are the Demon King. Why would the Demon King want to help me and kill a demon, one of his race for a human?" Kai spoke these words with a serious face.
"Also, carry my brother with you. I will follow you after closing the hidden door."
Kai saw Li Yifeng' surprised face and said "That hero saw me with you and will definitely figure that I was the one who helped you. I will die if I stay in the city."
Li Yifeng nodded and carried her brother before descending into the underground tunnels. Kai followed him and closed the hidden door.
"Follow me," Kai spoke as she carefully inspected the tunnels and determined the right path.
"You haven't answered my question. What is that red smoke that used on Noah and me?".
" Refined Pepper Smoke Bomb."

"You can't be serious?"
"What? You didn't hear about Refined Pepper Smoke Bomb? Are you for real?" Kai couldn't help but be flabbergasted by Li Yifeng's reaction.
Refined Pepper Smoke Bomb is the most used hunting tool by adventurers. Of course, there are different qualities of the Refined Smoke Pepper Smoke Bomb.
She spent nearly 90 Gold Coins to get a single highest quality bomb. This bomb could temporarily blind any monsters below level 100. Of course, it can be also used on humans.
She had only one bomb and naturally left it to life and death situation. And after seeing that Li Yifeng would fight Noah, who is level 90, she decided to use it to save his life.
"Feng, you haven't told me why the Spear Hero is trying to kill you. Also, didn't it find it weird that we could see his job as a hero? You need a B Rank Appraisal Skill to see if someone is the hero," Kai couldn't help but ask.

Li Yifeng nodded and said "Well, you could say that I angered the World's Goddess..."
"How the fuck can you make the Goddess so angry at you that heroes come to hunt yo..." Kai's eyes widened and stared dumbly at him.
Li Yifeng showed an embarrassed expression and said " Because I am the Demon King".
"Holy shit!" Kai screamed in horror before passing out.

Li Yifeng's lips twitched and couldn't help but sigh. Her reaction was understandable.
He carried her and continued to walk in the direction she pointed at before passing out.

Noah Balvan was kneeling on the ground with his face twisted from anger. He didn't have a healing skill or any healing potions because he was confident in his armour's abilities. But, he was naive! The Demon King is a despicable person. He should have known better and prepared for his shameless way of fighting.
"Noah, where is the Demon King?"
Noah's body stiffened as he knew the person who just spoke. His face changed from anger to fear.
"Lucy, the demo...."

Noah's body flew and slammed into a wall. His armour broke down and his HP decreased to half.
"When I ask you a question, you would give me an answer. I don't want to hear any excuses"
Noah's body started shivering from pain and fear.
"He... Escaped.."
"Escaped... What is the Demon King's Level?".
" 4...40"
BAM!
A terrifying magical force swept his body and sent him flying away. This time, his body broke the walls he slammed into it and only stopped after breaking through four houses.
His remaining HP is just a single point. A pinch could kill him.
"We are heroes, the best of humanity. We could fight monsters above our levels. Yet, you let the Demon King escape despite being weaker than you by 50 Levels! How can you call yourself a hero?"
"Someone... helped... him"
"You are a disgrace for us heroes and someone like you shouldn't have this title."
The residents of Golden Horn City saw a horrifying scene. A girl wearing mages robes waved her hand and caused a blue flame to hit Noah's body and burn it into ashes in a matter of seconds. After that, the girl slowly floated until she was 100 meters above the city. She raised her hand and a large flame ball formed.
"Someone from the city helped the Demon King escape. This means that there are demon worshippers in this city. I, Lucy, the Archmage Hero shall follow the Goddess teaching and deliver divine punishment on you lowlives. "
Lucy lowered her hand which caused the flame ball to fall on the city.
Screams and cries came from people but they stopped instantly as the entire city turned into a sea of flames that burnt everything into ashes.
Li Yifeng, who was running in the tunnel while carrying Kai and her brother, felt the tunnels shake violently which caused him to increase his speed in order to leave the tunnels quickly.
The tunnels collapsed after a few seconds which scared Li Yifeng and causes him to exert even more speed to escape. He even bought a skill.

Even with the skill, Li Yifeng was carrying Kai and her brother which dramatically decreased his speed. Still, he would not leave them to die here.
Things didn't get better as flames rushed from above with the falling rocks which made escape more difficult.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!"
Li Yifeng cursed his bad luck as he avoided the falling rocks but couldn't avoid the flames. Still, he prevented the flames from reaching Kai and her brother. A part of his back and legs were burnt by the flames. But, he didn't stop despite the pain because if he stopped, he and the two will die.
He already lost have of his HP by the flames. Thankfully, he saw the exit close to him.
A roar came out of his mouth and he used all of his might to cross this small distance.
BOOOM!
Li Yifeng who was carrying the two rushed out of the exit and flames rushed out of it. Thankfully, he has already escaped to a safe distance. He looked at the blue flames coming from the tunnel and the pain in his back and legs caused him to grit his teeth.

Li Yifeng was dumbfounded when he saw the message windows in front of him. He was safe for now from the heroes chase. And he got a quest to kill the Archmage Hero who did all of this.
His eyes turned cold and said"Goddess, I am quite disappointed in you! If heroes act like this, then I will happily become a True Demon King who would make them pay for what they did!"
