CHAPTER 55

Fate rolled in bed, he was mentally exhausted. Two weeks in and he was losing his mind. Ki-an was testing out how much his body could take and by the looks of it, a lot. Every wear and tear was healed instantly and the only downside was the hunger pangs he got after each session.

He could clearly see the difference with not just his body but his movements too. His mental state, however, was a different case. It was easy for his body to forget as he healed completely without any scar but his mind didn't.

He would wake up sometimes in cold sweat. He was not screaming anymore but the nightmares weren't getting any better. He found it amusing how whatever fear he felt was gone as soon as he opened his eyes.

He sat up and stretched, his muscles felt tight. He was proud of himself, in just two weeks he already more toned than he could ever imagine and he knew he would soon start training with actual swords.

He took a shower after today's session and had tried to fall asleep but try as he might he could not. Right now, he was starving. Usually, Ki-an happily brought his meals but he was not going to wait for her today. He also needed a reason to step out, his felt slightly claustrophic.

He stood up from his bad and walked out the door. He turned around to close it and suddenly heard a voice behind him. Fate turned around to find a demon dangerously close to him, she looked familiar but for the life of him, he could not remember her name.

"Hello," he blurted out.

She was standing over him and she pushed her chest forward. "Hi," she responded with gusto.

Fate did a quick glance down, one would think he was used to their skippy outifts by now. "Um, how can I help you?" He asked with a forced smile. He kept his head straight as he spoke to her but his gaze remained diagonally.

"Oh, nothing." She replied and swayed a little to the left and right. Fate felt his eyes follow her shoulder movements, only he was not looking at her shoulders. She hopped closer, "My name is Tia."

"Nice to meet you Tia," he said and leaned against the door. "My name is Fate."

"I know you name," she smiled. She was pretty and even though she was as taller as he was, she still looked smaller. "We all do."

She folded her hands and pushed her bosom upwards. They looked as though they would pop out of her bikini top. Fate had his eyes glued to them and did not realize waht he was doing until his hand almost touched them.

He stopped himself in time and slipped through the side. "I have to go." He blurted out as he fled the scene. "There is something I have to do, it was really nice to meet you Tia."

"Okay," she called after him, waving vigorously.

Fate glanced back to see her waving and jumping at him, Fate smiled and turned back as he fled to the kitchen. He was still running when he got to the kitchen door.

He pushed it open and came face to face with Ki-an. She stared at him with wide open eyes. "Are you alright?" She asked as she noticed his agitated state.

"Yeah," he responded and tried to look casual. "I came for my lunch."

"I was about to bring it to you," she said and picked the tray from the counter.

The kitchen was mostly empty except for the cook Wicarious. She was a huge demon with a single horn, the other had been broken off.
