47 The end of an internal battle

HSR got me grinding that lightning% ball with 300% but didn't get a single one.

Do you know the definition of insanity? doing something over and over and over expecting a difference.

~~~
Xian's battle continues physically and spiritually, one against a horde of monsters while the other is against Kirion the devourer sword.
In the Colosseum, Xian's figure can be seen amongst many corpses of monsters lying on the ground many more were rushing at her to kill her.
Her eyes were lifeless as if it was only a moving corpse puppeteered to move rather than a living being, purely moving by instinct.
With a katana and eyes in her hand, she seamlessly killed dozens in a single swipe but even a terrifying sight like such did not discourage the monsters from rushing toward her.
But suddenly Xian coughed up blood as some eyes began to close and white smoke began to leave from the blade but some vengeful eyes stayed, and confusion spread to some monsters.
Who hurt her? why did she suddenly cough up blood, not a single monster had yet to reach her yet she was hurting.
Is she self-harming or acting to be hurt? We haven't touched you and you're acting as if you just didn't kill every monster that has come in your vicinity.
Or maybe it's her over-exerting herself from constantly battling, this possibility made the monsters see the chance of victory and begin vigorously charging at her.
Unknown to all of them due to Kirion blade's feeding ability, it could restore her stamina and heal any injury once it fed on blood, that's the reason why Xian could keep on fighting for a month without any sign of fatigue.
The reason Xian's body coughed up blood is that Xian inside her mindscape shattered the prison that is Kirion which connected to her soul, fueled her strength, and practically a part of her soul, breaking such a thing is the equivalent as shattering her own soul. An excruciating pain would be felt across the body and any normal person would go insane from such pain.
Her movement began visibly decreasing as internal injury began to appear but it quickly healed by Kirion's ability.
What an irony. Xian decision to break Kirion resulted in her slow decay the thing keeping her body alive is Kirion, somewhere a higher being sneered at such a sight.
"You just can't get away from the curse you cast upon yourself" It chuckles at the laughable irony the one you wanted to get rid of is now the only thing keeping you alive.
Inside Xian's mindscape, a fierce battle that is becoming fiercer continues, both 'Xian' dance with swords in their hand clashing every second, one is a war scourge that rules over the battlefield, and the other passed her prime and a former shell of a war goddess only wanting to settle away from the cruel battle.
At the climax of their battle, Xian looked at Kirion who was looking at her viciously, and Xian who was calmly looking at Kirion opened her mouth.
"I am the demi-goddess of war, Pity thee who is my enemy" Xian's chant made Kirion raise their guard but feeling danger from every word she spoke Kirion assaulted Xian to interrupt her.
"and abhor. Die by my blade with no regret" Xian launched her own attack to defend herself
"In battle's fury" With Each word, Xian said Kirion felt imminent danger and unleashed a full-on assault. due to Kirion being Xian's 'past' version her power is certainly higher but she hasn't attained any power relating to after Xian traversing between the world, this Xian learned after her long battle with Kirion, she was only tiring Kirion and weakening Kirion further by shattering her own soul she unleashed her last card.
"your fate is set" Xian finished her chant and her authority of a war goddess came from heaven into the mortal realm every fiber of her being filled with power.
Xia overpowered Kirion in their battle in an instant, in each clash Kirion was only suppressed further, and the tide of the battle suddenly shifted from a still lake to an overwhelming tsunami imminent from overpowering the other side.
Kirion dashed backward but was quickly chased by Xian.
'Third, the rite of the devourer, beneath the starving gaze.' Kirion changed stance and assaulted Xian in a last-effort battle, Fine if you want to clash that badly I'll gladly do so!
Xian's upward slash sent Kirion's blade into the air leaving Kirion defenseless without hesitation Xian cut down 'Kirion', settling the victor of this battle.
Kirion's body disintegrated but without Kirion's hateful eyes staring down at her.
Walking towards the Real Kirion who was the dropped sword, now it's a shattered blade on the ground, cracks were visible along the blade from her shattering Kirion and soul.
"WE will still haunt you to the very end!" Voices emanated from the blade as Xian picked up Kirion from the hilt.
"For those who still wish to depart to heaven, do so, I will not bind you anymore in this prison I wield" Xian's apologetic voice is apparent, she truly regrets her past, and after calming down their rampage some soul who was blinded in the midst of their rampage decided to leave at last, they were tired of living in vengeance, and want to re-enter the reincarnation cycle.
Feeling more strength escaping her body, she felt more relieved than anything else, though this did not suppress Kirion completely from its vengeance towards her, it weakened them significantly, meaning their outburst would be less frequent and their feeling of bloodlust could be controlled.
Waving Kirion around one last time, the broken shards of the blade are still floated to where they were broken.
With their bloodlust lessened by a significant margin Xian decided to not seal it any further, without any unexpected event it would probably take years for this kind of occurrence to happen again.
*Crack* The sky cracked as it grew even more and Xian felt a pull on her soul dragging her into her physical body.
The lifeless eyes of Xian inside the Colosseum came to life though still dull and blind, her body shifted movement as she spread her senses to evaluate her surroundings. Many corpses lay on the ground and Kirion in her hand still broken but keeping their shape.
Feeling the growing feeling of pain inside her body, she knew this was the consequence of shattering Kirion, fortunately, this decay would go away after some time but for now, her only choice was to continue slaughtering the ever-spawning monster.
