goodness I need a proofreader but I don't have money to hire one, Sadge time

I updated the last chapter to make it more readable and from now on chapter upload will be slowed down a little, don't worry I will try my best to do 1 chapter a day, the reason I'm doing this is to relax my brain and don't rush to make a new chapter

I learned a lesson that rushing a chapter only results in bad chapters

anyway enjoy chap

Exiting my room in my Hostess of Fertility outfit, I saw Bell exiting his room and went to greet him.

"Good morning, Bell," I greeted him.

"Hm? Ah, good morning, Xian. Going to work today?"

"Yes, Mama Mia will be mad if I take this day off as well. Also, are you free this evening?" I asked.

"Well, I can make the time. Why do you ask?"

"Good. From today onward, we will be sparring," I announced.

"Great! Where will we be sparring?" Bell excitedly said.

"You live on the outskirts of the city, correct? We will be sparring there," I replied as I walked downstairs to help at the pub.

-Bell's POV-

Watching Xian leave, I returned to my room to wake up Goddess Hestia, who was still sleeping.

"Goddess, Goddess, please wake up," I called out.

"Five more minutes, Bell," Goddess Hestia groggily said.

"C'mon, Goddess Hestia, we need to go," I urged her. After I constantly shook Goddess Hestia, she finally woke up, and we left the Hostess of Fertility.

After escorting Goddess Hestia to the broken church, I headed to the guild to meet Eina.

"Eina, I want to go to the 7th floor. Do you have any advice?" I approached her counter.

"7th floor?!? Where the hell did you get that confidence from? You almost died on the 5th floor the other day!" Eina scolded me.

"B-but I've grown quite a bit since then. Some of my stats are at E now!"

"You? At E? As if—" Eina paused for a bit.

"Tell me, Bell, when the Monsterphilia outbreak happened, did you kill the Silverback?"

"Eh? How did you know?"

"There was a report yesterday. Goddess Loki and Ais came in with a blind woman who told the guild about who killed the Silverback," Eina explained.

"Blind woman? You mean Xian?" an image of Xian's face popped up in my head.

"So you know her? I've never seen her face while I was on my day off, so she must be new to the town."

"Well, I don't know her well, but what I know is that she works at Hostess of Fertility, and she used to be an adventurer," I recalled what she said from yesterday's memory.

"Huh? I don't recall anyone named Xian being an adventurer in the records," Eina tried hard to remember anyone with the name Xian.

"Could you tell me her full name?" Eina asked for her full name.

"Well, her name is Xian ya, but I don't think you could find her in the records. From what I heard, she is from the outer walls and hunted the monsters from the surface rather than the dungeons," I explained the rumors I heard from the Hostess of Fertility.

"That makes more sense. With that kind of beauty, it's hard to miss her if she is even an adventurer," Eina remembered catching a glimpse of her face exiting the guild.

"So she got blinded from one of her battles and decided to retire, huh? A shame," Eina made her conclusion.

"Anyway, enough about Xian. I cannot allow you to go to the 7th floor with that kind of armor," Eina looked at the armor Bell was wearing.

"Are you by any chance free tomorrow?" Eina asked.

"Well, tomorrow, Xain told me to spar with her in the morning, but after that, I'm free," I told her my agenda for tomorrow.

"But she is blind, isn't she? How could she spar with you?" Eina wondered.

"Well, she told me that she could see the surroundings using her mana."

"Well, that's one way to see around without eyes, Bell. Where are you going to spar with Xian?" Eina asked.

"Ah, Xian told me to spar with her where I and my goddess live since it is the outskirts of the town; there would be fewer buildings around and more open space," I told her the location of the church.

"Great, could I watch the spar? I want to meet Xian."

"Sure! The more, the merrier," I excitedly said.

"That's great. See you tomorrow," Eina said her goodbyes.

"See you tomorrow, Eina," I exited the guild and got ready for tomorrow morning.

-Xian's POV-

Walking to the broken church, I sensed two souls present below the church, one moving around while the other was still.

Searching for the stairs down, I found the stairs down but waited at the top instead.

Bell was about to go out and saw me while ascending.

"AH! Good morning, Xian. You came in early," Bell greeted.

"Good morning, Bell. Are you ready for the spar?" I questioned.

"I'm ready! Ah, also, one of my friends, Eina, will be watching if that is alright with you."

"I do not mind spectators. No need to worry."

We walked toward an empty field next to the church and faced each other.

Bell had his daggers in hand while I wielded a stick I found lying around.

"Umm, Xian, is it alright for me to fight with this dagger?" Bell voiced out his concern.

"Do not worry, Bell. Remember to fight me with the intent to kill me. I will not hold back my strikes," I firmly said, reminding Bell.

"A-Alright," Bell tightened his brow.

I sensed another soul approaching us but I ignored it.

"I will let you strike first," I ordered, and Bell nodded.

Bell ran at me and swung from the side with a reversed grip.

"you're still hesitant!" I parried the dagger upward and pushed him backward with my fist.

"Let me remind you that I am several Leagues above you." I dashed forward and made an overhead strike.

Bell barely reacted and blocked my strike but I followed up with another punch to the chest, knocking him back.

"Good, how you're taking me seriously. Remember, never let your guard down in a battle." I commented on his serious face.

Bell tried to take the offensive and dashed at me and tried to strike me from below and followed up with a left hook.

I dodged to the side and used his momentum to throw him.

"Your intentions are obvious. Against a mindless beast, it would work, but against humans, you have no chance."

The spar went on for an hour. Bell tried to strike me with different methods, using feints on his strikes, using his foot to make an unexpected kick, and always putting pressure on the attack.

He learns extremely quickly, taking all the ways I strike him and using it against me, and always corrects his mistakes on the first try.

"Huff huff huff," Bell lay on the ground exhausted from trying, being unable to hit me.

"So, you are Bell's friend, Eina, correct?" I turned my attention to the girl that had been watching us fight.

"Huh? Eina," Bell quickly looked around and saw Eina sitting and watching us.

Eina waved at us and greeted us.

"Sorry I didn't say anything, but you looked serious, and

I didn't want to interrupt," Eina apologized.

Eina turned her attention to me.

"You used to be an adventurer, right?" Eina asked.

"Indeed, but I've grown tired from that life. Now here, I retire for the rest of my life."

"A shame. From the spar, I think you were once a high-level adventurer. Having you adventuring the tower would be great."

"I heard adventuring could make you many valis, correct?"

"Yes? Why do you ask?"

"I may need some valis to buy myself a sword."

"But aren't you retired?"

"Like a blade, they need to be sharpened in a situation where they need it, and warriors are the same. Even if I'm retired, I need to keep myself sharp," I declared.
