Here is a chapter I wrote in my off time, its kinda short only 100 less words from average

~~

- Xian's POV -

We were currently inside Hestia's church, and the place was crowded with many people, including some familiar figures.

"Hephaestus, it's nice to see you again," I greeted the eye-patched goddess who was seated on one of the chairs.

"Ah, Xian. It's good to meet you here. What brings you to this place?" Hephaestus asked, waving her hand casually.

"Two of Hestia's familia members are my disciples, so it's only natural to join this search and rescue team," I explained.

"I see, that makes sense," she nodded in understanding. I then looked over to Takemikazuchi's side, where three of his familia members had joined the search and rescue team, and Takemikazuchi was giving them instructions.

"Your mission is to search for Bell and his party members. You have the most recent information about their whereabouts. So, assist this search and rescue team to the best of your abilities. But, above all, stay safe down there," Takemikazuchi advised each of them.

Turning my attention back to Hestia, she was engrossed in a conversation with a blond man wearing a cowboy hat. It was Hermes, and something about him seemed suspicious as he was the only one who had barged into the church and seemed to be well-informed about everything that was happening.

Hestia clapped to get everyone's attention "Alright everyone, the party members have been established, it will consist of me, Hermes and his assistant Asfi, Xian, and three of the takemikazuchi famillia members"

"I think recruiting one more person into this is necessary" Hermes chimes

"Who?" Hestia looked over at him but he simply smiled in response

"You'll know"

- Tomorrow -

Arriving at the entrance of the dungeon, I noticed that most of the party members were present, but Hermes was missing. However, he soon arrived with two figures following him – his assistant Asfi and Ryuu.

"Was I late to the party?" Hermes chimed in

Hestia responded, "No, actually, we just got here."

I took a moment to look over at Ryuu, who was quietly observing me. I broke the silence, "It seems we'll be working together to find Bell." Ryuu nodded in response. but Hestia's announcement cut our conversation short

"Alright, it seems we all have our party members present, let's not waste much time being here" Everyone agreed and marched on down to the dungeon

-

*ROAR* The infant dragon, saw our incoming party and charged at us, turning my attention towards the party, the takemikazuchi drew their weapon, and Hermes was standing next to Hestia

With incredible speed, Ryuu closed the gap between her and the infant dragon and swung her sword with precision. The dragon had no time to react and was knocked out cold by her strike. the takemikazuchi famillia members were speechless by Ryuu while Asfi was still beside Hermes's side observing

"A good strike," I applauded Ryuu as she returned to our party.

"Thanks," Ryuu replied with a nod. We continued our journey, following the lead of Takemikazuchi's famillia members. Eventually, we came to a deep pit with a missing bridge. The famillia members looked at the pit in horror and then across to the other side.

"Why did we stop?" Ryuu asked, puzzled by the sudden pause. The famillia members turned to face us.

"There used to be a bridge here. This is where we lured the monsters into them, but..." one of them began but couldn't finish the sentence.

"They seemed to blow it to cut the monster's advance" Hermes chimed in, bringing his conclusion

"Indeed, the scars on the ground revealed the fierce battle that had taken place here." The famillia members lowered their heads in shame, as they were the ones responsible for leading the monsters to Bell's party members.

"It's safe to assume they went to the other side. We need to find another way," Asfi said, turning back.

I stopped her retreat, saying, "Wait, I sensed something down there."

"What?" Asfi asked.

"Three empty potion bottles, undamaged. It's safe to assume they didn't throw them from here," I explained my observation.

"Do you mean..." Asfi started.

"Yes, they fell into the pit," I concluded. Asfi went into deep thought.

"If they fell, it's likely they are injured from the fall so they had to each drink a potion to recover, and with the depth of this pit, they are several floors down. If they are smart, it's most likely they will make their way to the 18th floor, as it's a safe zone. With Goliath killed by the Loki famillia, they have time to get past it," Asfi explained. She then produced a long rope from her pocket and threw one end down into the pit.

"We're going down after them. Taking the stairs would be too slow," Asfi announced. As everyone descended into the pit using Asfi's rope, I remained at the top to keep watch for any potential monsters. Once all of them had safely made their way down, I prepared to descend myself. I jumped into the pit, summoning a ramp of ice to slow my descent and ensure a safe landing.

"Wow, show off," Hestia couldn't help but comment on my unconventional method of descending.

"Everyone, we will be rushing straight to floor 18, there is where we most likely see them" Alfi wasted no time standing around and led everyone forward
