Preparing For The First Night

"Alright. That's the last of it I think..." Emelda dusts her hands off after adding the last of their things.

"Alright. I'll get the money we left." Raiden decides, heading back inside. There's a moment before he returns. "So... Did we take the money already?"

"No, that was going to be the last thing since we were living here still... What's wrong?" Emelda frowns as her best friend deflates. He holds up a sack in response. ".... Is that all?" She turns to him. He offers a nod, sinking to his knees.

"We... Were robbed?" He asks quietly. Emelda looks to the others who seemed just as shocked and uneasy.

"I-Its okay, the king will send another payment soon I'm sure." She kneels, touching Raiden's shoulder.

"But... We're poor again..." He grumbles. "I don't like being poor, everything goes to food..."
