THE HERO AZREN

Hearing the word 'bonus' didn't make Azren feel happy at all. How could he be happy when he saw Michy's expression resembled Lucifer's just now?

Michy was like the Demon King for sure. Just look at how he smirked and how he gawked at him! The human was totally evil!

Azren could see how the idol finally ended the phone call and turned his body around at the light of speed. Azren's body froze when the idol was facing him once again.

"Felice praised you so highly just now, and she told me that I should give you a bonus for your heroic action."

Azren knew that the idol was being sarcastic when he said the word 'heroic.'

"What do you want as a bonus? I'll give you whatever you want since you've been my hero since yesterday, Azren."

Azren got goosebumps hearing Michy's statement. Michy smiled at him, but it looked like a psychopath's smile. His human brain told him that Michy looked like the Joker now, and he knew that the Joker was dangerous. He shouldn't have believed that smile.

"You... you don't need to give me anything, Michy."

Azren was not stupid. The idol was angry at him because he dared to scold the idol just now. It was only five minutes since the event ended, and the idol definitely was still angry at him.

"You don't want anything from me?" The idol questioned him while raising an eyebrow. "I give you a chance to request anything from me, but you don't want to say anything?"

If Michy's voice was a knife, then it must have slit his eardrums by now. The question was piercing and threatening, so how could Azren dare to ask for anything?

Azren remained silent, and Michy looked even more furious. "Can you tell me what you want? Felice told me to give you a bonus, so I have no other choice but to do what she wants! Or she will be suspicious of my actions and will interrogate you later! Do you want me to get scolded by her?"

Azren didn't quite understand, so he took the time to think about what Michy meant.

Michy didn't want Felice to interrogate him later. Was it about what happened earlier? Did Michy want to keep his lies to himself and not tell Felice about the matter?

"You don't want Felice to know that you were lying earlier?" He decided to question the idol.

Michy rolled his eyes before answering, "Felice is a strict and honest manager. She doesn't want me to take any shortcuts to get more popularity. I successfully debuted because of many people's help, but she wants me to fight for myself after I debuted. She had warned me not to do any bad things to gain more fame."

For the first time, Michy spoke to him with a less piercing tone and anger. The idol explained the matter to him in a relatively calm attitude and looked relaxed.

But wait. If Felice had warned Michy not to do bad things to gain more popularity, then it would be difficult for him to provoke Michy in the future, right?

Perhaps there was no real angel around Michy, but it was Felice who had been acting like an angel near Michy! Azren finally could make a hypothesis to answer his curiosity.

"It seems like you listen to Felice a lot," the demon commented after a short pause between them.

Michy looked up at him while blinking his azure eyes. "Not really," he said. "Sometimes Felice was just too annoying, and I chose to ignore her."

Azren secretly heaved a sigh of realization upon hearing the idol's answer. He still had the chance to provoke Michy.

"Enough with the chatter!" Michy spoke again, this time back to his brusque self. "Just tell me what you want so I can tell Felice that I've given you a bonus!"

Azren no longer felt wary now that he knew that the idol only wanted to please the female manager and had no intention of torturing him. Even so, the demon didn't know what he wanted from the idol. He couldn't just ask the idol to help him by committing a sin, right? That would be suspicious and would probably make him break Lucifer's first rule.

He had to hide his demon identity, so he shouldn't raise Michy's suspicion toward him. Perhaps he could request something simple from the idol. He was thinking for a moment, and he finally got an idea as he smiled brightly.

"How about you let me wear the new clothes without paying?"

"The new clothes?"

"Yes! You ordered new clothes for me, and they arrived this morning. You asked me to pay for the clothes, so how about you change your mind and let me wear the clothes freely instead?"

"..."

"..."

It seemed like Michy was speechless upon hearing his request. He didn't know why the idol suddenly fell silent, so he could only tilt his head while staring at the idol, who was still sitting in front of him.

"You are just too broke, aren't you?"

Michy was being sarcastic once again as he turned around and started gathering his things. Azren blinked innocently, but then he began to take over what Michy was doing. Michy just let Azren do the job because it was Azren's job, after all.

The idol just walked towards the door silently, and Azren quickened his pace to gather things before rushing towards the idol.

"You haven't told me your decision yet, Michy! Will you release me from my debt? I can't sleep well thinking about what I owe you!"

The blonde assistant walked beside the idol and kept bothering the idol with his question. The question was dumb, so Michy ignored it.

Even after they reached the parking lot and were about to get into the car, the idol didn't say a word. His expression also remained flat, and it made Azren groan in frustration. He wanted to bury the idol alive and send him to Lucifer directly!
