CORN HAIR
'Michy's girlfriend?' Azren wondered in his heart. 'But, my king didn't tell me that Michy has a girlfriend. And I think Michy said to his fans in the fan signing event that he doesn't have a girlfriend. Did he also lie to his fans? Idols like him tend to hide a lot of things from his fans, right?'
The blonde looked puzzled, but the raven-haired girl was unperturbed as she kept giving the blonde an arrogant gaze.
From the gaze alone, Azren thought the girl was similar to Michy. Were they meant to be together because they had similar characters?
"Hi, corn hair! Are you listening to me?"
What? Corn hair? Was there any corn hair around them? Azren blinked at the girl in confusion.
"I'm talking to you!"
"Huh? You are talking to me? But I'm not corn hair."
Azren was innocent and not stupid, but perhaps he looked like a silly person in front of the young girl.
"Your hair is like corn hair, so you should get used to that nickname from now on."
The girl named CM was beyond weird, and Azren could only stare at her in disbelief. "Why should I get used to the nickname from now on? You are not my friend," he dared to argue.
They were strangers, so why should he listen to a stranger?
The short-haired girl didn't want to do as told, and she narrowed her eyes at the man. "You are Michy's assistant, so you are my friend from now on!"
The girl was beyond strange, and perhaps Azren should just leave the girl because he might go crazy if he stayed with the girl longer. Without replying to the girl's claim, he immediately turned around and was about to leave.
"Where are you going, corn hair?"
"I'm not corn hair!"
The endless insult from Michy was enough, and he didn't want to get insulted by another person. Michy was his boss, but CM was not. He didn't need to listen to the weird girl's order.
He didn't turn around, but he could hear the young girl stomping furiously before striding forward.
"You don't know where the staff room is, right? I'll bring you to the room. Just follow me!"
Azren was dumbfounded. Even after the girl started walking away from him, his feet were still nailed on the floor and he didn't move an inch.
How come a girl be so strange like that? Azren showed his dislike toward the girl, and it seemed that the girl didn't like him either. The girl looked like the antagonist, and he looked like the protagonist that was only getting bullied by the girl.
But, the antagonist suddenly offered a hand to him, and it could be just a scam, right?
CM, who had been walking ahead of Azren, suddenly stopped her movements and turned to the blonde.
"Are you going to follow me or not? If you don't wait for Michy in the staff room, he probably will get angry and will fire you immediately!"
It was an extremely dangerous threat, and Azren widened his emerald eyes in surprise. Lucifer had helped him organize the job, and it wasn't easy for him to get the job either. With that fact in front of his eyes, how could he act so recklessly and let his boss fire him so easily?
Even though he didn't like the girl, Azren decided to take a step towards the girl. Seeing the man finally give up, CM smiled triumphantly.
"You are indeed my Michy's obedient dog."
The word 'dog' made his brows twitch slightly, but the girl looked careless as she continued walking in a direction.
Azren grumbled inwardly, but he still followed the girl's lead.
Seventius' building was indeed huge, and he, being an ignorant demon, would probably get lost in the layout of the building resembling a maze. He was lucky to meet someone willing to guide him to the staff room. Wait. Was he really lucky to meet a freak like CM?
"It's the staff room."
His chain of thought was broken by the girl's voice, and he stopped walking because the girl had stopped walking as well.
He brought his gaze to look at the writings above the door, and he knew that it was indeed the staff room.
"I don't understand why my Michy asked you to wait in this room instead of the more comfortable lounge, but maybe you can figure out the reason once you're in the room."
'Why does this girl keep calling Michy like that? She gives me goosebumps.' Azren's body shivered slightly when he heard how CM called Michy, but he was quite disturbed by CM's next statement. 'And she doesn't know the reason behind Michy's instructions to ask me to wait in the staff room instead of the comfortable lounge? Of course, it's because Michy doesn't want me to feel comfortable!'
Azren could guess Michy's reason easily, but he didn't feel the need to tell the girl about it. He simply nodded his head before bringing his hand to open the wooden door in front of him.
The first thing he saw in the room were more than a dozen tables, along with more than a dozen employees. The employees, who were busy with their activities, stopped their movements as they turned their heads towards him.
Azren, as the one who suddenly became the center of attention, felt a bit pressured.
"Who are you?"
Azren was still at the door and hadn't even stepped into the room yet, but someone suddenly questioned him. It was a plain-looking man with a pair of old glasses perched on the bridge of his nose.
"I'm Michy's assistant."
The answer sounded simple but caused an uproar in the room.
"So, the bitch changed his assistant again?"
"It's only been a month since he debuted as an idol, but he's already changed his assistant three times?"
"Maybe this guy will quit too because Michy is too nasty. That whore will probably use this guy too, right?"
