Chapter 81
Lisa was greeted by Godiva when she returned home along with two messages on her answering machine. Attorney Whithers had faxed over the two new apps for her to do background searches and the other call was a hang up. Probably a wrong number, she surmised.
She hung up her coat and went to the kitchen to make a cup of hot tea. It was beginning to get downright cold out. Soon they would have snow. She carried her cup of tea to her office area and placed it on her mug warmer. She turned to the fireplace and put on another log. She needed to get warmed up.
Her computer system warmed up fairly quickly once she turned it on and could throw off some heat, too.
She turned and walked toward the kitchen when the doorbell rang. She detoured to the front door and looked through the peephole. Sam, exactly who she wanted to see.
