Chapter 160
After making too many phone calls to mention, Elyse finally found one of Jolene's friends and colleague, Rose Johnson, and she was just about as worried about Jolene's whereabouts as Elyse.
"When was the last time you saw Jolene or spoke with her?" Elyse asked.
"The day before she went missing. She was so excited about her date that night. We talked about what she should wear and wondered where he would be taking her," Rose answered, her words altered.
"Do you remember about what time you talked to her?"
"Early afternoon, for sure. We were working Judge Gorman's courtroom, and the session adjourned early that day. We were both getting ready to go home."
"Did she say anything else?" Elyse walked toward Dalton's office.
"Not that I remember. It wasn't until she didn't show for work the next day I wished I had asked her more about the guy, his name and phone number especially. I feel certain something bad has happened to her."
