"Elyse. If you're reading this, I haven't been in touch with you for a couple of days. I've been on a couple of dates with Jonathan White, not sure that's his real name, and at first, he seemed very nice. He took me to nice places, bought me those pretty earrings I showed you. We even talked about moving in together. But then, he started getting aggressive and downright bossy and inconsiderate. He stopped in at odd times, like in the middle of the night, and he started to scare me. He made me promise not to tell anybody about him, nothing, his name, his job, his description. I'm not sure what his job is myself. One time I overheard a conversation he had with someone about abduction, selling women for money. He charged a large sum of money for one girl, too, and was trying to collect.
When I threatened to call the police, he laughed at me. If only I could keep my big mouth shut, right? I bought myself a gun for my own safety and protection but never learned how to use it.
