1 Prologue

Can you imagine going from having nothing, to having everything, and then falling into a vicious circle from which you can't get out?

I feel like little by little my life and dreams are fading into the past.

I feel like my friends are missing out on what they could have enjoyed if they had chosen another path.

Life is a blink of an eye; few people can say that they have lived in a calm and happy way; few will say that they had everything they wanted through effort. Many will say they decided to take a shortcut.

I took a shortcut.

My friends took it with me.

And here I am, trying to get through the life I chose.
