Disregard of protocol

Phansesis was pushing north through Kiran as instructed only pausing for sleep and supplies when the came to a swamp with trees cut down everywhere and a Kiran army on the other side waiting, Phansesis could see that the army was militia and peasants that were most likely being used to slow him down. he looked at the surrounding area and saw what he knew to be their danger the swamp slowed their movements he saw them carrying longbows and knew that this was to counter his magicians he was cautious he could tell there was more to this than met the eye.

"hold off boys we will stay here for a bit no need to rush into this blindly take off your packs but stay on guard."

everyone started to do as they where told, soon everyone was standing around with calm expressions but cold eyes as they watched the Kiran army standing on the other side. Phansesis sent some men into the only trees standing to read off an estimate of soldiers on the other side, they came down and combined an estimate of 500 though they were standing there with no fear at all of the heavy Calvary and outnumbering army that Phansesis controlled.

soon the Calvary were impatient and Qubert started to voice his complaints out loud to Phansesis.

"we need to hit them were they stand otherwise we will have wasted time with only 500 men!"

Phansesis looked at him as a father looks towards a incompetent son. "they positioned themselves for a reason we can't just charge towards them and hope for the best."

"Fine then I will do this without you!" Qubert stormed off while stating his plan

Phansesis was nervous and though he didn't stop them he was torn to think Calvary would just die because of some unseen danger. The Calvary started off in a formation charge and hut the swamp with power but where greatly slowed by the water, they kept going and moved around the logs that were laying around soon the Kiran archers took fire and within half a minute all the Calvary were knocked down killed or injured and the whole swamp came to life as men rushed from behind the logs surrounding the Calvary and started killing any and all of them viciously. The rules of war were not set in stone but Qubert threw his hands up expecting a surrender being noble but soon three peasants stabbed him until he didn't get up again.

Phansesis watched the whole 1,000 Calvary get slaughtered endlessly with no help as they were to much a risk to try and rescue.

"Men we watch this day as lives that die in front of us could have been saved if it were not for the rebellion of a noble!"

soon everyone was watching as the few Calvary who escaped came back wounded and ashamed they were now afraid of execution for direct disregard to their commander they had lost their horses and friends by following a fool this never happens again as they now know Phansesis has the best interest in mind.

Phansesis looked put and saw the enemy standing behind the logs and he decided that he would make them pay for the loss of his Calvary though unloyal they had been he counted it as a loss so he took the front of his men and started relaying orders.

"Shields up! push together and make little room for their arrows!"

"Hoo!" "Hoo!" "Hoo!" "Hoo!"

Phansesis liked the power of his men but loved their resolve to push with him up to the battle.

"Fire mage team I need group 4 to stand closely behind us and fire when we get close!"

the peasants saw a shield wall in the middle of the wall a shield had a dragon head while the body of other shields where blue making the illusion that a dragon was walking towards them, they knew it was but the affect still brought fear as the body got closer unaffected by arrows and spears soon the peasants where 5 feet away when a opening appeared and 5 fireballs came out burning everything in it's path and scorching the rest

"Hoo!" "Hoo!" "Hoo!" "Hoo!" "Hoo!"

soon Phansesis was in front of the archers and he gave his final command.

"break!"

with this the dragon dispersed and turned into many swords that cut down the fleeing army with ease causing Kiran soldiers to peasants to spread rumors about this terrible force.

"They lost horseman to peasants as training then sent their main force at us they are scary and kill without fear." one rumor had it said first

"they sent men into the swamp and when they died they made themselves into a dragon with scales that defied arrows and each lost soldier they passed the dead rose and caught with them caring not about death" the rumors got bigger and bigger to the point where the army was 80,000 men who spit fire raise dead don't die by arrows and kill with dragons as pets it became very hard for the people to volunteer to fight this force but still many where willing and the armies grew to fight back against the formidable force.

Phansesis was pleased with his men though the wounded had totaled 2,000 counting some surviving 100 Calvary he was mad at them but sure their loss was punishment enough, the tactics of Kiran was getting better Phansesis could tell someone was testing him and his movements for no peasant army could think of this strategy.

to this he was half right the General's name was Griffin of Skrill a man of little speech and many actions, he was watching Phansesis's army from a hill far away with a telescope.

"that man has more trust in his soldiers than we in our king sir." a peasant in better attire had been watching with him and he had needed to say something about his fallen family and friends.

"that is where you are wrong." Griffin spoke, "I believe it is them who trust him, I saw how the Calvary reacted to his orders and how the infantry were maddened by their actions."

with this he casually turned around and headed off which confused the peasant even more, on the other side of the his stood 10,000 spearmen with small shields another 40,000 swords who seemed to be the front line for the army, 5,000 archers and 15,000 heavy Calvary this was not counting the 500 peasants who were being used to transfer supplies from cart to stomach.

the peasants name was Paul and he was not a bad person nor a strategist he saw numbers and believed they could win with a frontal assault, to which he voiced his opinion openly.

"Griffin we can take them send us down their and we can kill them easily we can do it send us please!"

"No! we do not send our men to needlessly die we could kill Calvary with peasants using the swamp, imagine what they can do with battle hardened troops against us!" Griffin was annoyed with the loss of men he saw and he knew the extent of his opponent.

"Move out we will meet this enemy at our fort Lauderdale there we will plan on a year of siege to hold them for our General's and politicians to get the crushing force to end this war!"

Griffin was an amazing strategist in this sense he knew winter was along the way and the Kiran couldn't hold off a general with such trained men and intelligence, he planned to pull back to Lauderdale a fort in the only mountain pass to Kiran's inner circle of royals and their capital if he could hold the pass with a solid defense then he would be at an advantage. Supplies would come to his rear every week his men would be safe from flanking and the enemy would have to make shelter for winter, it was indeed perfect and with all this in mind he had moved back pulling any soldier from every Outpost for 200 miles to support and hold Lauderdale.

Phansesis spent the next week without any trouble as he took the remaining food, gold and anything else found while heading to Lauderdale and when he was 20 miles away he received a message from King Fredrick.

"Phansesis we have heard of your exploits and I personally am spending 50 million Parcels on gear of exact replica to your men's and am sending you 100,000 soldiers to you they will obey you in every order and we spent more time training them than you for this occasion, the men will be separated in groups of three.

20,000 Calvary, 10,000 fire mages of minor level due to our lack of knowledge on how to train them that is up to you, and 60,000 swordsmen with 10,000 spearmen.

we are hopping you do well yours truly King Fredrick the first."

Phansesis was joyous of the occasion and decided to halt his men 20 miles away from Lauderdale to send back word, he asked that his pay be put into all supplies to be sent to the front in more mass and higher quantity he allowed his men to drink and celebrate and a month went by all the same before they arrived.
