Synopsis

Half a century ago, humanity faced an unfathomable menace known as the "Turned." These grotesque beings emerged from the shadowy depths of the unknown, their forms twisted and elongated, their skin an abyssal black. They possessed unnaturally long limbs ending in razor-sharp claws, and their featureless faces concealed a maw of flesh-rending teeth. Their eerie movements were accompanied by a spine-chilling cacophony of cackles and clicks. However, what set them apart from all other horrors was their eerie invisibility to the naked eye. The first recorded sightings of these monstrosities occurred in a remote town steeped in occult practices. Rumors whispered that the town's occultists were the architects of this calamity, that they had unwittingly ushered these abominations into our world from the enigmatic realm known as the Abra. Little did they know that they had unshackled a hellish nightmare upon the planet, one that would sow chaos and devastation on an unprecedented scale. In the beginning, humanity was ill-equipped to confront this inexplicable threat. The Turned were stronger and faster, wielding the terrifying powers of the Abra. Lives were lost in droves. But the governments of the world could not stand idly by as their cities crumbled and populations dwindled. Over years of relentless experimentation, scientists embarked on the audacious task of reshaping humanity to confront the Turned. Through the fusion of genetics and the manipulation of DNA, they forged a new breed of humans known as "Cadabra" — gifted with the extraordinary ability to pierce the veil of the unseen world, to glimpse into the very heart of the Abra. As time passed, the world descended further into the abyss of dystopia. Countless Cadabra and ordinary humans alike perished in the unending battle against the Turned. But eventually, a breakthrough came. A select few among the human population could now harness the power of the Abra, bridging the gap between themselves and the Turned. The playing field was finally leveled. Yet, the war rages on, the world teetering on the brink of darkness, as the fate of humanity hangs in the balance. This story follow our main character known as "Drake Cadabra" a young man fated to destroy the Turned. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I DO NOT OWN THE ART FOR THIS COVER! As Muhammad Imran sat across from Sana Mitsubishi in the quaint café, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the soft hum of conversation enveloped them. Sana's laughter, like music to his ears, echoed through the air, drawing him closer with each melodious note. "You know, you're a dangerous man, Muhammad Imran," Sana teased, playfully nudging him as her eyes danced with mischief. Muhammad chuckled softly, his gaze fixed on her radiant smile. "Dangerous? How so?" he quipped, leaning in to meet her gaze. Sana, her demeanor laced with playful skepticism, leaned back in her chair, a knowing glint in her eyes. "Thirteen women, Muhammad Imran. Thirteen hearts you've captured with your charm," she remarked, a hint of amusement in her voice. Muhammad met her gaze, his expression softening with sincerity. "Ah, but none as captivating as yours, Sana," he confessed, his voice laced with genuine admiration. Sana rolled her eyes, though a fond smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "Smooth talker," she countered, though her tone betrayed a hint of affection. As their conversation ebbed and flowed, a question lingered in the air, unspoken yet palpable. "And what about promises, Muhammad Imran? Are you capable of making those?" Sana finally asked, her gaze searching for his sincerity. Muhammad's expression turned solemn, his gaze never wavering from hers. "I've learned that promises are fragile things, easily broken," he began, his voice tinged with vulnerability. "But I can promise you this, Sana -- I'll always be honest with you, and I'll always cherish what we have, for as long as you'll have me." Sana's eyes softened, a gentle smile gracing her lips. "I suppose that'll have to be enough for now," she conceded, her voice filled with warmth. Muhammad reached across the table, taking her hand in his, his touch gentle yet firm. "For now and for always, Sana," he vowed, his words carrying the weight of his newfound resolve. --- Info: This story is inspired from real experiences. Only the concept is derived out of it.
