2 She's a special One

She walked to her father's throne and sat on it. She was completely lost in thought that she didn't realize that her father had walked in and looked at her curiously. "I wonder what war is like." she said aloud as she pondered the likelyhood of war. She wasn't stupid and when she walked around town, she swore she heard people who were talking about the jealousy of her father's sword. They wanted it for themselves but were they worthy was the question. "Amicia, do not dream of war. Instead dream of a world in which we are United. I don't wish for you to see the gruelling bloodshed of war. Never worry as long as I stand I will protect you. They won't dare harm you." The king spoke as he walked towards her.

He was hoping to put her mind at peace because even he is aware of the town talking of the holy sword. He was ultimately preparing for his death because it was inevitable, but like any father he remained strong and wanted to spend as much time as he can with his little girl. He wished to not trouble her anymore and thought about what Guinevere had said fifteen years ago. "I don't want my daughter to be involved with the sword. You know she's special." she had exclaimed. He had just waved her off thinking he knew best. "Dad? may I tell you something?" Amicia asks as she plastered a smile upon her face.

"What is wrong my dear? Are you okay?" The king asked his daughter. He noticed the fake smile that she placed upon her face so he was indeed curious of what his little girl had wanted. "It's better if I show you." she says taking his sword from his hip and holding it up in the air. The sword began to glow as Amicia grabbed Arthur's hand. The sword began to produce a flashback of a violent war from long before she was born. "This war was one of the most violent and it was all over the power of the holy sword. I had this same flashback ten whole years ago and it has been stuck with me since. Why? Why did it go and scar me so much? I don't think a five year old was meant to see such a thing." she explained. The king was silent. He had no words for her. The war the sword had showed her wasn't a war that was in the past.

It was the future. That would be where he died and Amicia would take up the throne. He didn't know how far this was in the future but he was determined to prepare her for this loss. He wondered why Excalibur had showed her this. The sword did have a mind of it's own so it wasn't that farfetched to let someone else have a vision, but to show his daughter his death that likely meant that she would be the one that would be able to save him. At least that's how he perceived that scene the sword showed them.

"I think that there is something wrong with me. I haven't been able to get my mind off of it, Someone I knew died in that war, but the only people I know are you and the guards and I cant explain why but one of the scenes make me shudder and cry. I don't know how to explain it." she said as she grabbed the sword by the blade handing it back to it's rightful owner. Arthur delicately took the sword and placed it within it's sheathe and comforted his daughter.
