Forced Adoption
Exu wakes up and glares at her surroundings and finally zeroes in on the Matriarch.
"You do realize you kidnapped me right?" Exu glares at the Matriarch with flames in her eyes.
"Of course. But Snow Phantom or should I call you Exusiai she who devoured the sins of the Fallen...would you have rather died?" The Matriarch smirks.
"Heh... Of course, an ancient fossil like you would understand a dead language... That language was the language that more than half of the people in that hell hole knew... And it was the only language they could speak. So you know about me but I know nothing about you." Exu gets out of bed and stands in front of the Matriarch Exu who wasn't as tall as the old fossil had to look up to glare at the fossil.
"Aww! You are so cute! Like a little kitten with fire in her eyes!" The Matriarch hugs Exu startling the poor assassin.
"Ugh! How come you are so strong! I can't break free!" Exu tries to break free but to no avail. Exu is extremely uncomfortable with encountering people who continuously outclass her when it comes to strength first it was the blonde bimbo then the transgender woman which she is strangely okay with since those muscles were bigger than her thighs but this lady really takes the cake as she is stronger than both of those two combined... Exu refuses to accept this.
"I have a wonderful idea! I shall adopt you! Don't worry I have an identity in the light all of our sisters do. I'm the richest woman in Remnant! SDC can't compare! My company is called Lionet Corporation! While the Schnees focus on Dust we are Weapon manufacturers we also are the number 1 Real estate company among many other things! You shall be my successor!" The Matriarch may be an eternal assassin but deep down she is a bubbly airhead who loves cute things. But she can also be a serious person but not often as she hates putting on a facade of coldness.
"That sounds like an offer! But what do I have to do!? Nothing is free in this accursed world!" Exu continues trying to break free.
"You just have to be my adorable lovely daughter! I will get to dress you up paint your nails and pretty you up with makeup! I've always wanted a daughter!" The Matriarch swings Exu around in the air and is pissing Exu off with every word she speaks...
"I'm not a doll! If you want to pretty someone up get a damn stuffed dolly!" Exu stops the Matriarch by putting her combat boots on her abdomen and pushes off. Exu is breathing erratically with an aggrieved look mixed with anger. Exu thinks she won this exchange but miss Lionet purposely lowered her strength when Exu decided to use her legs.
"Oh, I have thousands of stuffed dollies and animals! But wouldn't it be great to have a daughter to pretty up!? Please say yes!" The Matriarch grasps Exu's hands and shakes Exu.
"Stop it! Just leave me the hell alone!" Exu runs away. Exu is not overly familiar with care and love and now she has experienced it again she felt confused but also disgusted.
Exu loves talking to her enemies about her life experience since it was her only option since she is wanted internationally and can't get the proper help because she would be shot on sight and even if no one can see her face due to her mask she has no 'identity' in the database of any government. Well, she does now but she can't just say she is Snow Phantom when she is supposed to be a rags-to-riches Orphan off the streets of Vale.
The scared looks when she talks about her life are just icing on top of the cake as she likes it when her targets call her a monster or say she is a monster due to her birth. She encountered some hunters and huntresses with gazes of pity and that was a surefire way to piss Exu off. She doesn't need pity just temporary relief from her dark thoughts. The pity only makes her have more dark thoughts just after she relieved herself from them.
The next day at the Lionet Corporation...
"Everyone this is my long-lost daughter! The medical results are out and she is indeed mine. Her father was a Hunter and died and she was an orphan until recently when she became a famous singer. Sigh... I never thought I would see her again... She takes after her father huh... She is my successor! I love her already... Call it motherly instinct."
"Your a bitch and I hate you..." Exu wasn't just pretending or playing out an act she truly felt this way about Cordeva Lionet.
Exu was forced to become her daughter otherwise she can't become semi-immortal which was something that she greatly desires. Who wouldn't want live forever and never age? Exu figured becoming this airhead's daughter is a small price to pay in exchange for eternal life.
"I will make you call my mom one of these days!" the board members' jaws drop at their usually cold-hearted CEO that rushed up to her 'daughter' and started hugging her and swinging her around all the while Exu is cursing her and threatening her. Exu met her match as no matter the method she couldn't beat her new 'mom' in combat. All of her assassination methods might as well be tossed out the window.
The board members don't realize the cold they are familiar with is just a facade of their CEO.
"Wait a minute... isn't that the rags to riches Orphan that was picked up off the street by Director Jake of our Entertainment department? Wow, it's really a small world... You are lucky Ma'am." One of the board members chimes in after recognizing the Exu. Normally they would recognize her the moment they walked in but the shock of seeing their usually cold-faced CEO being all bubbly was too much to take in.
