THE DARKNESS BENEATH

We started off as nobodies with no purpose, money, family, or orphans. We were nothing to society. No one wanted us. Bullied, insulted, spat on. We were called filthy rats. My sister, Debby, and I had to fend for ourselves. We slept on the streets in the cold and ate leftovers thrown away by passers-by. Surely, the experience still haunts me. We are well off now. People bow to us and treat us like queens. They should have seen us then. I bet they would have done the same thing the others did. It’s been a journey, a sad and terrible journey. One thing I wouldn’t wish for anyone........

HORROR 2

"Now that was fun wasn't it" Lucia exclaimed with a smile tugged at her lips. She seemed to have enjoyed everything a bit too much.

Lucia's demeanor was unsettlingly jovial as she surveyed the aftermath of her gruesome display. While she relished the macabre scene, her audience was left haunted by the horrors they had just witnessed.

For those who had only heard tales of Lucia's cruelty, this firsthand experience sealed their dread of ever crossing her. No one wished to be her victim.

"Now, you must be wondering what prompted our comrade's extravagant demise," Lucia announced with a mischievous glint in her eye, her voice echoing in the silent room, lounging in her chair as she observed the bewildered expressions around her.

The men exchanged uneasy glances, trying to fathom what transgression could warrant such a brutal end. He must have done something really bad which was unknown to any of them.

"Believe it or not, it was merely a matter of personal satisfaction. I just wasn't satisfied with his punishment" she declared nonchalantly with a shrug, inspecting her black-painted nails with casual indifference.

"Wait, what?" One guy at the far end of the room muttered to himself in disbelief.

Tino's fate wasn't sealed by some heinous crime, but rather by Lucia's capricious whim. That was so messed up. And not only him, almost all the men thought same.

The revelation sent shivers down their spines, raising questions about the true nature of their perilous allegiance. Now they wondered what was going to happen to the five men who actually failed her.

"Ah, but enough about that. Now, onto you five," Lucia redirected her attention to the cowed figures before her.

Before she could address them, the crazy, deranged man among them began to plead for mercy, his words stumbling out in a desperate torrent of fear.

"Miss, miss please Black Russell have mercy, please pardon us g...give us another chance, w...we wouldn't fail you." He stuttered in fear. Trembling like crazy as he tried to plead for his life.

Meanwhile, the captain silently ordered the cleanup of Tino's remains, and the mess on the floor, an act prompted by a mere gesture from Matteo—a testament to their obedience in the face of Lucia's authority.

Lucia let out a thrilling laugh. Her laughter echoed through the room, a chilling prelude to the impending darkness that would soon envelop them all. With a sudden shift in demeanor, she rose from her seat, her expression turning deadly serious as she issued commands to the torturers.

"Remove their bags, I've wasted enough time as it is." she ordered, pointing her baseball bat at the masked men. The torturers complied swiftly, revealing the terrified faces of the condemned.

"Beautiful! Your ugliness has convinced me," Lucia remarked, her voice dripping with malice.

"Now you, you and you undress them." she instructed, singling out three of the torturers who looked at each other in confusion but dared not question her.

As they complied and proceeded to undress the five men, the four men despite their fear braced themselves, their minds reeling with dread, the crazy one on the other hand proved to be difficult. He was a mess screaming, twisting and turning.

"You know what leave the crazy one, undress the other four." Lucia instructed. She was getting bored. The four were made bare before everyone but what happened next was truly unexpected.

"Bang!!!"

Without warning, a gunshot shattered the tense silence. It happened so fast that no one saw it coming. The deranged man collapsed in a pool of blood, a gaping hole evident between his eyes.

He was dead.

The four men gasped in fear as the crazy guy was just next to them. The sight was horrible. Today was surely a nightmare to them. The others recoiled in shock and horror, realizing the fragility of their existence in Lucia's merciless domain.

Lucia casually blew away the smoke from the tip of the gun—a Colt M1911A1.

With a dismissive wave, Lucia signaled her weariness, eager to depart from the scene of carnage.

"Matteo, wrap up, I'm tired" she declared with shrug and gloominess as she tucked the gun back in her pant at her back covering it up with her blazer before sauntering off, this time hitting the baseball bat on the floor in means to scare them as if they weren't scared enough.

Her sadistic smile taunting them as she moved. All eyes were on her until she suddenly disappeared from the door vanishing from sight.

Matteo just nodded. His expression always unreadable. He approached the four men and made sure they all had their backs facing him.

The onlookers begun to disperse eager to escape the lingering horror to continue whatever they were doing before, since the Black Russell was gone now.

There was no need for them to stand there lurking anymore. They have witnessed their fair share of horror and were obviously not willing to witness more. What ever happened to the four men was none of their business anymore and they could care less about them.

Three of the torturers each held a brandished electric coil which was given to them by Matteo who was also holding one. Following his lead, they plunged the coils in the butt hole of each of the men which had them screaming and writhing in pain and agony. They were helpless as there was nothing they could do because their hands were bound. They could just accept it.

The ice-cold water was then poured on their naked bodies as the lever connected to the coils were pulled up. Their shrill screams could be heard all the way in the corridor.

Lucia paused in her steps breathed in and let out a sigh of relieve feeling at peace and truly content. She walked out the same way she came in as the screams faded into the background drowned out by her departing footsteps.

"She had no right!" Tension simmered in the Brown mansion's grand halls. Collin's cold voice could be heard echoing in the vast hall. His fury reverberated through the space; his rage directed at Lucia's audacious actions.

"I know Collin, but she did, and now Eugene will surely be on our neck, I'm just surprised he hasn't already." that was Logan speaking.

"I will skin that girl alive; she keeps on ruining everything." Collin let out menacingly. He was having none of it.

"I have had enough of this nonsense of hers,"

"Watch yourself Collin, Father....."

"Father can go to hell for all I care" with that he stormed off, leaving Logan alone in the vast room. He was fuming.

As Collin's footsteps echoed through the cavernous halls, Logan's expression darkened as he watched Colin's retreating back.

No one could tell what was going on in his head.
