29 Chapter 29

Dimitri knew that from the moment that Blanca had walked into his life, he had been drowning in his awareness of her. His every sense had been tuned to her as if she were the only woman in the whole damn world.

"I'm beginning to suspect that there was more to Blanca than being able to read minds," he muttered.

Gabby regarded him with a lift of his brows. "She can read minds? That human is amazing."

"Yes, old man, and there are some more things I refuse to discuss even with you, Gabby, but I fear the worst. Demon is from the underworld. They were never born."

An almost smug smile touched the old man's mouth. "That is something we should worry about, sir. Maybe we should call for help?"

"Not now, I can't risk being out in the open again. Some more powerful witches could see behind my disguise. I can't risk that." Dimitri added and frowned, fiercely refusing to consider what might be behind his butler's amusement.

It couldn't be good.
