Over the next couple of days, Briceus managed to stick to his decision of assuming better control of his emotions as firmly as he could.

With regards to how uneasy he continued to feel from Elizabeth's absence, Briceus put in his best to convince himself into thinking that all his emotions towards the missing girl was all but a feeling of guilt and nothing more.

By "nothing more", it meant that he also had to desist from transferring his aggression to just about anybody as the only way to excuse himself from unnecessary drama. To this, he flopped many times. 

During those days, Ezekiel and his search team would always return with the news of having no clue about Elizabeth's whereabouts whilst assuring him of their intentions to keep looking. 

This cycle continued until Briceus was tempted to head out on his own one day to do the job himself but for the confinement of his place as King which denied him such liberties to do as he pleased.
