"You seem to be in a…some mood." Kane relaxed next to me on the bench. "Do you want to talk about it?"

I chugged down the water in hand. "Why?"

There was no point in talking about anything. The gatekeeper was making me eat my words. If I could meet that bitch again, she was going to regret it. Damn her for making me feel this way.

Kane stretched out his legs. "Talking things out is best for a situation like this. I don't want you to kill us all."
